Candice Patton is opening up about the season six finale of The Flash!

The show’s finale was moved up a few episodes like many other shows, due to the pandemic shutting down production.

Candice recently opened up about the final episode, “Success Is Assured”.

“I mean, it’s bittersweet I think for everyone. I think the writers, and the actors, and the crew, and everyone involved saw what it was going to end like and, obviously, that’s the version we wanted to give to the fans who love this show,” she told ET. “But just given the current global situation, that’s impossible — so we kind of have to do the best with what we’ve got.”

“Fortunately our show, kind of, always ends on a cliffhanger. I have no idea actually how they plan to kind of tie it up with a bow — that’s thankfully something I don’t have to deal with — but it’s hard,” Candice continued. “It’s not how we intended it to be, but we’re gonna make the best of it. And I think, hopefully, the intention is to come back and resolve the story and pick up season 7 resolving everything that’s happened in season 6.”

In the finale, Barry (Grant Gustin) considers a risky plan to save Iris (Patton) from the Mirrorverse.

Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) attempts to stop Sue (Natalie Dreyfuss) from making a grave mistake that could destroy her life.

The Riverdale stars met up with another CW star inside the party – The Flash‘s Candice Patton!

On landing the role of Iris West on The Flash: “I remember the email [my manager] said, ‘this one is yours, you’re perfect for it.’ It didn’t seem like it was thrown my way. I got home for Christmas in Texas, [and] I really thought it was dead in the water for me. I came back in the new year and they wanted me to come back in. Within two days, I had the job, and it felt surreal.”

On using her platform for good: “I do think it’s important if you have means, whether that’s money of a platform, to do something with it. I have a little bit of that so it’s my honor to find things and projects that I’m passionate about, and to use whatever I have to help those projects. [With Shethority], There is so much negativity online and I know women and girls are constantly dealing with so much standards of beauty that are absolutely insane. We wanted to create a space for our fans to feel empowered and recognized and to give them a voice.”

On dealing with rejection: “I worked on having a thick skin, being comfortable hearing the word ‘no’ and just continuing to work. The jobs will come if you constantly focus on getting better and doing better.”

The casts of Shadowhunters and Arrowverse are both at the 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards tonight!

Katherine McNamara, who is on both of the shows, joined her co-stars on the red carpet on Sunday (November 10) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

Other Shadowhunters stars in attendance included Dominic Sherwood and Luke Baines while Arrow cast members who were there included Rick Gonzalez and Joseph David-Jones, as well as The Flash‘s Candice Patton. All three shows are up for The Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show of 2019.

The 31-year-old actress took the stage for a panel discussion on Saturday afternoon (November 9) at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, Calif.

Earlier in the weekend, Candice took to her Twitter to fire back at a hater who said she ruined The Flash.

“You single handily ruined Flash,” the commenter wrote.

Candice clapped back, “And got paid big bucks to do it!”

We love Candice‘s amazing way of dealing with the troll!

Just last week, Candice Patton shared a fierce new selfie with her natural curls and fans totally loved it!

Turns out, her curls will have a big part in the upcoming season of The Flash, too.

“It’s a big deal,” Candice told TVLine. “I’m happy we were able to do something small that has such large impact.”

Showrunner Eric Wallace added that “there’s a reason her hair is that way in the story, and it has to do with fun, and Iris just being herself, and letting the character show more sides of who she is.”

He continues, “It’s also about letting Candice show more sides of who she is as a person and as an actress, which is something I support 100 percent. I love her hair that way. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it more than once that way this season.”
