Chris Colfer holds up the stack of books of his series, “The Land of Stories”, during his recent book signing in New York City.
The author and actor has just embarked on his book signing tour for the sixth installment of the series, “Worlds Collide”.
During one interview on his press tour, Chris revealed that a sequel or prequel series for the books isn’t out of the question at all.
“I might go back and do a prequel series about the twins’ grandmother when she was a young girl growing up,” Chris shared. “I can always do another spinoff of something or other.”
He adds, “Just because the series is over does not mean ‘The Land of Stories’ is over, and I can say that with confidence.”
Um, we will take 15 prequels and 67 sequels please. Thanks!
Chris Colfer has had an extraterrestrial experience!!
The 27-year-old actor spilled on his alien encounter while appearing on The Tonight Show on Monday (June 26) in New York City.
For his recent birthday, Chris headed to Peru, a known alien hot spot, in the hopes of seeing something out of the ordinary.
Unfortunately, Chris didn’t run into any aliens there but he did have an encounter when he was much younger.
“When I was a kid, I was very sick with bronchitis and I was on like Sizzurp levels of cough syrup, so it might have been a hallucination…I woke up in the middle of the night and there was a little alien sitting at the foot of my bed,” he explained.

In “The Land of Stories: Worlds Collide”, we’ll meet back up with siblings Connor and Alex as they deal with the various fairy tale heroes and villains no longer being confined to their worlds.
So with trouble brewing in New York City, the twins must figure out how to right the balance of the human and the fairy tale world.
Chris tells EW about the book, “‘The Land of Stories: Worlds Collide’ was by far the most difficult book I’ve ever written. Not only was I pushing myself to meet readers’ expectations, I also began grieving the series’ conclusion at the prologue.”
He adds, “I’ve been lucky to wear many creative hats in my career, but being an author of a popular book series has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Although this is the last book in the series, I’m confident this isn’t the end for The Land of Stories.”
Does this mean a spin-off series? We hope so!
