Cody Christian & Danielle Campbell Join Samantha Logan on CW's Spencer Paysinger Pilot Set

Cody Christian, Danielle Campbell, and Samantha Logan were all spotted on the set of The CW’s upcoming Spencer Paysinger pilot!

The Teen Wolf actor was recently cast alongside 13 Reasons Why‘s Samantha in the drama pilot.

Directed by Rob Hardy, the project is “inspired by the life of pro football player Spencer Paysinger and produced by L.A. Galaxy soccer player Robbie Rogers. It centers on a rising high school football player from South Central L.A. When he is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High, the wins, losses and struggles of two families from vastly different worlds — Compton and Beverly Hills — begin to collide,” Deadline reports.

Cody will play Asher: “Oozing golden-boy privilege and arrogance, Asher is the current wide receiver for the Beverly Hills High football team. Despite his swagger, he has a troubled home life, and he is threatened by Spencer’s untimely arrival.”

Cast members Michael Evans Behling, Daniel Ezra, Greta Onieogou, and Bre-z were also set on Saturday (April 7). Danielle‘s role is not yet known.

“And das a wrap!!!” Samantha captioned the Instagram photo below. “This was a special one guys ✨🧡 #pilot #CW.”

Cody Christian Would Definitely Return as Theo for 'Teen Wolf' Reboot

Remember how before the final episodes of Teen Wolf aired, MTV hinted at a possible reboot? Well, Cody Christian would definitely be on board for it.

The actor, who starred as Theo, on the show, revealed to Vulkan mag that he’s on board to bring back Theo for it.

“There is so much potential depth to this character that we simply did not have to the time to explore,” Cody remembers of the final episode that was left open-ended.

“However, I’ve said this before, and months after being picture wrapped from the production, I still feel the same; if there is a story to be told involving Theo Raeken, I’d be more than willing to reprise the role and explore that life on screen.”

Cody adds that being on that set was one of the best experiences for him.

“The show was like a family. We had some tough days, some easy ones, people bickered and disagreed at times, but what family doesn’t?” he says. “I knew coming into work everyday that I was surrounded by people who truly cared and I wouldn’t have traded that feeling of comfortability for anything in the world.”

Theo Almost Didn't Have That Big Return Montage on 'Teen Wolf' Last Night

Cody Christian‘s Theo is back on Teen Wolf!

Making his return during last night’s episode, Theo’s big moment almost didn’t happen at all.

“The episode originally came up short,” showrunner Jeff Davis told TVLine. “One of the editors told me we were short, and I’m like, ‘Well, we have to introduce Theo in a big way.’ So we added it in.”

Theo’s re-introduction “was meant to show who he is without the pack. You’re going to see what he’s been up to recently and it’s not great. He reappears in a big way.”

“What Cody brings to it that I love is that, yes, Theo is a bastard and a very bad guy – but Cody shows what’s underneath. Theo just wants to be loved.”

If you missed it, check out what Cody shared about Theo’s arc during the last 10 episodes of the series.

Cody Christian Says Theo is Still Looking For A Place in the Pack on 'Teen Wolf'

The return of Cody Christian‘s Theo in season 6a on Teen Wolf got a lot of reactions — so just where will he be when 6b premieres on Sunday?

“6B doesn’t disappoint,” Cody shared with Entertainment Monthly. “We get to dive deeper and get our hands dirty and figure out who is this guy. You see Theo defeated in a way. He’s this outsider.”

Theo will still be searching, it seems, to be part of the pack.

“[Theo's] looking for that connection, that inclusion in the pack, and he doesn’t have it,” Cody adds. “It kind of pulls on the heartstrings of the audience, and really seeing this guy for who he is.”

Cody also chatted about how much fun it’s been to play Theo on the series.

“As an artist, this guy has been so much fun to play because I feel like every 10 episode block, there’s been another side of Theo.”

Teen Wolf premieres on Sunday, July 30th on MTV.

Tyler Posey & 'Teen Wolf' Cast Talk About Villains For Final 10 Episodes

The Teen Wolf premiere is just a handful of days away and the cast is feeling it.

Speaking with EOnline, Tyler Posey, Cody Christian, Shelley Hennig and more all dished about what fans can expect to see in the final 10 episodes this season — especially about the villain.

“We’re bringing it back to like, the simple days of Teen Wolf where it’s just werewolves and hunters,” Tyler shared over the weekend at Comic-Con. “We kind of do something that we’ve never done before, and then we go back to our roots when it was just hunters and werewolves.”

Shelley adds that it’s “the most afraid our characters have ever been.”

But it isn’t just one human villain that our Beacon Hills gang have to deal with, there are others.

“There’s a bunch of different villains in this season, kind of,” Tyler says. “There’s a psychological kind of villain that’s more of like, a feeling than anything.”

Teen Wolf returns THIS Sunday, July 30th on MTV.
