“We have a responsibility to our fans at this point. They were obsessed with the first album and we have a responsibility to write a better album. We have to beat every song,” Dan and Shayrevealed. “We’ve always said that: ‘May the best song win’… I think we did what our fans – the Dan+Shay that they fell in love with, it’s still that.”
They added, “But we took some liberties, took some chances and did some new things and the reaction so far has just been awesome.”
The new album includes 10 tracks: “All Nighter”, “Road Trippin’”, “From The Ground Up”, “Already Ready”, “How Not To”, “Lipstick”, “Round The Clock”, “Lately”, “Sway”, and the title track, “Obsessed”.
“The Obsessed album is for our fans, and surprising them is one of our favorite things to do,” Dan shared. “We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without them, so we wanted to give them more music sooner than they could buy it in stores.”

Dan + Shay are back with another feel-good, can’t-get-it-out-of-your-head song “Already Ready” from their upcoming album, Obsessed.
The guys — Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney not only unveiled the full audio track, but also debuted the music video!
“We love our fans and feel like [they] are a huge reason we’ve had the success we’ve had,” Dan shared about unveiling the tracklisting for the album with help from their fans.
He added, “Our fans are very involved in everything we do. We’re more like friends with them… We know their names, they know our names. To let them reveal the track titles has been really fun.”

“To be performing is kind of next-level,” Shay shared. “It’s going to be really cool, man. Dan’s been working really hard on the track, and it sounds bangin’, so it’s going to be a really fun performance.”
They added about their nomination, “Being nominated was the craziest thing ever. Just being nominated is such an honor for us. I mean … this is our second time being nominated, and I think it’s crazy, just for the amount of time that we’ve been together as a duo, it’s just crazy that we got nominated and this is our second year.”
