Gaten Matarazzo's New Netflix Prank Show Met With Tons of Criticism

Gaten Matarazzo just announced he will be hosting a new prank show called Prank Encounters for Netflix, but many are not happy about the idea.

The new show takes two complete strangers who each think they’re starting their first day at a new job. It’s business as usual until their paths collide and these part-time jobs turn into full-time nightmares.

Many fans responded to Gaten‘s tweet about the show and called for it to be canceled, and some even said he should look for new representation.

A lot of tweets also said that the show would actually do more harm to those that are just looking to find a job.

Gaten Matarazzo has a new show coming to Netflix!

The 16-year-old Stranger Things actor will be hosting and executive producing a new hidden camera prank show called Prank Encounters, Deadline reports.

Each episode of this terrifying and hilarious prank show takes two complete strangers who each think they’re starting their first day at a new job. It’s business as usual until their paths collide and these part-time jobs turn into full-time nightmares.

Prank Encounters is set for eight episodes that will be coming to Netflix later this year.

Gaten Matarazzo's Dustin Will Become a Mentor To This Other Character on 'Stranger Things'

Sadie Sink looks so cute in a pink dress while leaving The Today Show studios in New York City on Friday morning (June 14).

The 17-year-old actress was joined by her Stranger Things co-stars Gaten Matarazzo and Finn Wolfhard as they promoted the third season of their Netflix series.

During a recent set visit, Gaten dished that his character, Dustin, was going to become a mentor to another fan fave character – Erica, played by Priah Ferguson.

“They learn that they actually have a lot in common, kind of like Dustin and Steve,” he shared. “Instead of Dustin being the Padawan, now Erica’s the Padawan and Dustin’s the master.”

Stranger Things season three premieres on July 4th.

Millie Bobby Brown waves to fans and cameras while arriving for an interview in New York City on Wednesday (June 12).

The 15-year-old actress joined her co-stars Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, and Noah Schnapp to hype up the upcoming season of Stranger Things.

In a recent interview with Pilot TV, Finn and Noah teased some new tidbits about the new season.

“The first season was more about the adventure aspect and kind of fun, the second season was more about the horror aspect,” Finn shared. “Season three is everything, like the fun of season one and the horror of season two and the Duffers have got better at it, at writing it. And we’ve become better actors.”

Noah also spilled that his character, Will Byers “still has the presence of the monster left, and you kind of see what happens there.”

“People have asked, ‘Does Will get a break this season?’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, sure, for the first two episodes. And then no one really gets a break,” he added.

Stranger Things returns on Netflix on July 4th.

Eleven almost looks shocked from the fireworks behind her in this new character poster for the upcoming season of Stranger Things.

The new posters feature stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matazarro, Sadie Sink, Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, and Joe Keery.

Millie, speaking with ET over the weekend, teased that Eleven is about to go through some major changes with her personality.

“Eleven’s character evolves greatly,” she shared. “And I can say its spreading fast. And that’s all I can tell you.”

Gaten Matarazzo Reunites With Corbin Bleu 7 Years Later!

Gaten Matarazzo met up with an old friend this weekend!

The Stranger Things actor and his Thespian troupe caught a double feature over the weekend, seeing shows All My Sons and Kiss Me Kate.

Kiss Me Kate stars Corbin Bleu, and the two actors had a mini Godspell reunion. Corbin starred as Jesus in the musical back in 2012.

“A reunion 7 years in the making! @corbinbleu Great to see you again! #KissMeKateBroadway #Godspellcastof2032,” Gaten wrote on Twitter.

“Amazing day In NYC with my Thespian troupe yesterday. We saw All My Sons and Kiss Me Kate. Ran into an old friend as well @corbinbleu great to see you!” he added on Instagram.

Gaten Matarazzo had a fun weekend!

The 16-year-old Stranger Things actor and musician joined a group of friends as they headed off to their Junior Prom.

Gaten suited up in a maroon tuxedo jacket and brought a very special guest as his date – his girlfriend Lizzy!

“Do-over!!!! I like this first pic better. Junior prom with my best friends and the most beautiful girlfriend ever,” he wrote on Instagram.

Lizzy also shared some photos on her account.
