On her role as Ellie in You season two: “At least for me, in my career, she is very contrasting from where I came from – Disney. It’s very different and is a very drastic change. She’s very real and grounded and I think that there will be a lot of people who can relate to her.”
On her take on social media: “Well I grew up in social media. That’s how I became an actress in the first place. I was discovered on Facebook. I feel like there’s definitely a lot of positive things that come from social media but I also think it’s very damaging to your mental health.”

Jenna Ortega is dishing on her involvement in You season two.
The 17-year-old actress is starring in the show alongside Penn Badgley and she recently dished about how much she loved the first season.
“The day after I finished bingeing You, I got a call that they were looking for a girl around my age to be on this show that I had fallen in love with,†Jenna told People. “I just remember looking at my mom and saying, ‘I have to book this part.’â€
And now that the episodes are out, she can’t wait to be taken more seriously as an actor, and not be typecast.
“I’m just happy people get to see me in a different light, because as an actor, the last thing you want is to be pigeonholed into one category,†she said. “I’m excited for people to take me more seriously.â€

If you don’t know, the first season of You centered on Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), an anti-social bookstore manager with a dark side.
However, in season two, Joe, who now goes by Will, is on the other side of the country in LA and surrounded by screenwriters, influencers, and everyone that’s “pretending to be someone they’re not.”

Jenna Ortega is set to star in the sequel to The Babysitter on Netflix!
The 17-year-old Jane the Virgin actress has signed on for the follow-up to the horror comedy, THR reports.
The film followed “a babysitter who moonlighted as the leader of a satanic cult looking to perform sacrifices.”
McG will return to direct, and the returning cast includes Judah Lewis, Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell, Hana Mae Lee, Andrew Bachelor, and Ken Marino.
The sequel will take place “two years after Cole (Lewis), who defeated a satanic cult led by his babysitter, is trying to forget his past and focus on surviving high school. But when old enemies unexpectedly return, he will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil.”
Jenna shared the news on Instagram with the caption, “Good morning.”
It was also recently announced that Jenna Ortega will play Jennifer Garner‘s daughter in another Netflix film, Yes Day!

Jenna Ortega has landed a lead role in the upcoming Netflix film Yes Day!
The Stuck In The Middle actress is set to portray Katie Torres, the daughter of Jennifer Garner‘s Allison Torres, Deadline reports.
Katie is a willful 14-year-old who craves more independence from her parents. With their OK of “Yes Day,†however, Katie gets just enough freedom to choke on it.
Yes Day is based off of the children’s book by Tom Lichtenheld and Amy Krouse Rosenthal, which revolves around parents attempting to make it through an entire day by only saying “yes†to their children’s requests.
Filming is set begin in November in Los Angeles!

The Stuck in the Middle co-stars played Harley and Ethan Diaz, respectively, on the Disney Channel series from 2016-2018.
“Oh boy. my little sister is 17,” Isaak captioned a cute slideshow of photos on Instagram on Friday (September 27). “Jenna, you have, without a doubt, impacted my life so much.”
