Gavin Leatherwood looks so cute in his apron during the LA Mission’s Easter charity dinner service for the homeless on Good Friday (April 19) in Los Angeles.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor was joined by On My Block‘s Jessica Marie Garcia, plus American Housewife star Logan Pepper and Coop and Cami Ask The World‘s Paxton Booth.
The event featured an Easter meal, and each child received a colorful Easter basket full of goodies.
Meanwhile, all adults were gifted with new shoes, from Etnies, the world’s leading action sports footwear and apparel manufacturer, and socks. Staff from Etnies were on location, making sure everyone got a proper fit.
Katherine McNamara keeps it cute in a pink top while arriving for the premiere of Someone Great held at ArcLight Cinemas on Wednesday night (April 17) in Hollywood.
The 23-year-old Shadowhunters star was joined on the red carpet by On My Block‘s Jessica Marie Garcia, who is also pictured at the LaPalme Magazine spring issue release party earlier in the week.
Someone Great centers on aspiring music journalist Jenny (Gina Rodriguez), who has just landed her dream job at an iconic magazine and is about to move to San Francisco. Rather than do long distance, her boyfriend of nine years (Lakeith Stanfield) decides to call it quits.
To nurse her broken heart, Jenny gathers up her two best friends Erin (DeWanda Wise) and Blair (Brittany Snow) for one outrageous last adventure in New York City.
The flick will premiere on Netflix on Friday, April 19th.
Jessica Marie Garcia rocks a dark lip color for the premiere of Little held at Regency Village Theatre on Monday night (April 8) in Westwood, Calif.
The On My Block actress wore a chic striped dress for the movie screening. Little will hit theaters nationwide on Friday, April 12th.
In a recent interview, Jessica opened up about how she relates to her OMB character, Jasmine, and it’s all about coping with comedy.
“If I didn’t make jokes about what was going on, I don’t know what I was going to do,†she shared with Teen Vogue. “I feel like as people of color, we’ve had to find comedy in situations or else what would we do? It’s tough out here.”
Jessica added, “I’m not very far away from who Jasmine is, as far as using comedy to build up walls. She makes the joke, she’s not the joke.”
On My Block seasons one and two are streaming now on Netflix.
The four stars joined Jessica Marie Garcia, Julio Macias, and Danny Ramirez along with showrunner Lauren Iungerich, and co-creators Jeremy Haft and Eddie Gonzalez.
On My Block, which returns on Friday, March 29th, is a coming of age comedy about four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and the newness of high-school set in the rough inner city.
In Season 2, friends lean on each other like never before in the aftermath of tragedy and Jamal’s discovery.
There are 11 days left until the premiere of On My Block season two and Jessica Marie Garcia is giving us a little teaser about the new episodes, especially when it comes to Jasmine.
“She is actually more of a complex character than I have ever professionally played,” the actress shared in a new interview with MEAWW.
Jessica continues, “Comedy stems from drama. She’s funny and loud because she’s trying to distract you from the walls she’s built around her. She wants to be liked and have friends. She leads in her sexuality because she feels like that’s what she’s supposed to do to be liked.â€
It looks like we’ll also get a glimpse of what life is like for Jasmine at home.
“I believe you’re going to see a glimpse of her home life and dive a little deeper into other layers of who Jasmine is as a person and as a friend,†she adds. “Hopefully then, you may see where she’s coming from a bit more and you’ll be sippin’ her tea too.â€
Reboots are all the rage these days, so it’s not crazy to think about a Liv & Maddie reboot, right? Jessica Marie Garcia doesn’t think so either.
The actress, who played Maddie’s BFF Willow in the Disney Channel show, opened up about the possibility of the show coming back again.
“I would do it in a heartbeat, I would love to go back and work with that cast and crew again,” she told Meaww.
However, Jessica is leaning towards a movie all about Jillow, which we are on board for.
“I would love to do a movie or something in a few years and maybe Willow and Joey Rooney would be married with some cute kids with glasses,†she shared.
If you remember, Willow and Joey had a short-lived relationship in the show’s final season after she crushed on him for years.
