The new installment finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack (Depp) feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack.
Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy.

While it is not yet known who Johnny will play in the film, he is rumored to be making a quick appearance in the first installment of the franchise, out in theaters on November 18.
The upcoming movie follows a secret community of witches and wizards in New York and is set 70 years before the events in Harry Potter.
The story “centers on special detective Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh, also the director), who boards a train from Jerusalem to Europe only to have a murder committed in the car next to his during a snowstorm. Poirot tries to discover the murderer or murderers before there’s another victim.”
