Lauren Alaina snaps a fun pic with a fan during the Vera Bradley x Blessings in a Backpack Event at Oscar Patterson High School on Friday (August 30) in Panama City, Fla.

The 24-year-old singer participated in another Blessings in a Backpack event just a few days earlier in Nashville with Bailee Madison.

Lauren is gearing up for her time on Dancing With The Stars this season and just recently met her partner.

“I met my partner today, I met my partner!” she shared in a fun video on Instagram. “I started dancing, I didn’t fall, I’m so excited! You guys!”

The two singers will join Christie Brinkley, Hannah Brown, Karamo Brown, Kate Flannery, Ray Lewis, Kel Mitchell, Lamar Odom, Sean Spicer, James Van Der Beek and Mary Wilson on the dance floor next month.

In a new Instagram post, Lauren opened up about postponing her upcoming tour to accommodate the show.

“This was THE hardest decision ever, but my team and I have decided to postpone the #ThatGirlWasMeTour to do Dancing With The Stars,” she shared with fans. “After talking to a few of my friends who have been on the show, I realized I couldn’t give the show and the tour 100%.”

Lauren continues, “I always want to deliver the best performances I can, so we have moved the tour to early next year. Dancing with the Stars is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I am so excited about. I can’t wait to hang out in your living rooms every Monday and celebrate how far we get on my first headlining tour in January. @filmoremusic will still be on all of the dates, and we are adding a few more ;) We are offering refunds to everyone who has bought tickets, or you can transfer your tickets to the new dates.”

“I am SO sorry for any inconvenience this causes to those of you who may not be able to make the new dates. I hope I can make it up to you somehow. I’m so thankful for your support in this crazy journey we are on. I love y’all so much!”

Lauren added, “Ps: This decision will be very embarrassing if I get out the first week, so please vote for me. Lol.”

Dancing With The Stars will premiere on Monday, September 16th on ABC.

Bailee Madison and Lauren Alaina have fun at a Blessings in a Backpack event held at Whitsitt Elementary School on Wednesday (August 28) in Nashville, Tenn.

The 19-year-old actress and the 24-year-old singer and DWTS contestant helped hand out 475 Vera Bradley school bags that included a Blessings in a Backpack weekend kit and enjoyed a carnival of back-to-school festivities.

Bailee and Lauren met at the event for the first time and Bailee completely fangirled.

“I have been a fan of hers for so long, and I’m just, I’m not playing it cool, but that’s fine,” Bailee said in Lauren‘s Instagram Story.

“Well I like it, we don’t have to play anything cool because we’re going to a carnival,” Lauren added.

Lauren is heading to Panama City Beach, Fla. on Friday (August 30) for another Blessings In A Backpack event.

The 24-year-old singer was just announced as one of the celebs who will be competing on the new season of Dancing With The Stars and in a recent call to reigning champion, Bobby Bones, clarified rumors that she was paried up with pro Alan Bersten.

“I haven’t even met my partner! I don’t know who it is!” Lauren shared, adding that she follows him on social media because “I sang for him last year” on the show.

However, Lauren wouldn’t be upset at all if Alan was her partner after everything.

“I would be HAPPY if he was, I love him,” she shared.

Dancing With The Stars season 28 will premiere next month on ABC.

The 26-year-old and the 24-year-old singers were just announced as part of the celebrity contestants on the dancing show!

During the cast reveal on Good Morning America, Ally opened up about wanting to prove haters wrong that said she couldn’t dance while in Fifth Harmony.

“I was in Fifth Harmony, and there was a lot of dancing,” she said. “Sometimes I feel like some of the dance moves were a little harder, and some people would leave some not so nice comments, and it wouldn’t feel good. This is an opportunity for me to not only prove to them, but to myself that I can really tackle this.”

“I want to be able to help those people who’ve felt like that too. Anything that they may feel they are insecure about or they feel uncomfortable with, that they can go and they can do it,” Ally continued.

The 24-year-old singer took the stage at the County Summer Music Festival on Friday (June 14) at Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, Calif.

Later that day, Lauren took to her Instagram to reveal that she’s starting work on her third album.

“Just for the RECORD, we started album three yesterday. Who’s excited for new music?!” Lauren captioned the photo.

Lauren‘s most recent album Road Less Traveled was released in 2017.
