Eliza Taylor Gets Just as Emotional as Fans Do Over 'The 100'

Eliza Taylor signs an autograph for a fan waiting in line during the Supanova Fan Convention in Sydney, Australia over the weekend.

The 100 star was joined by The Flash‘s Carlos Valdes and Arrow‘s Stephen Amell at the annual convention. Meanwhile, her co-star Lindsey Morgan was seen at the German Comic-Con.

In a new interview, Eliza opened up about facing hard times just before booking Clarke on The 100, and how she gets just as emotional as the fans because it actually changed her life for the better.

“I was working four different jobs to save the money to move to Los Angeles, including teaching drama, and working at a nightclub called Love Machine in Melbourne — it took three years,” she remembers. “When I got to Los Angeles, I went to pay for groceries and found my credit card had been skimmed and someone had taken all my money.”

After being cast in the series, Eliza was “borrowing money from the cast and crew for the first month. I was ready to pack my bags: it was a nightmare.”

However, going through that experience has made her appreciate The 100 even more, and her relationships with the cast, crew, and fans.

“I get quite emotional when people say things like: ‘Your show helped me through a really hard time’ or ‘You saved my life…it’s really amazing.”

Lindsey Morgan Opens Up About Raven & Bellamy's Dependence On Each Other on 'The 100'

If you’re a big fan of The 100 and have watched this show since the beginning, you might remember that Raven and Bellamy had a physical romantic relationship — so, could it return?

The two characters, played by Lindsey Morgan and Bob Morley, were sent into orbit at the end of season 4 to escape the radiation coming to the planet — and according to Lindsey, their relationship in the stars has changed.

“Nothing happened [between them] in the six years that I’m aware of,” Lindsey shares with TVLine about a possible physical relationship. “But they will always respect each other and care for each other and need each other in that sense.”

What viewers can expect though is a very strong friendship. Raven has become “Bellamy’s number two”.

“I think you see this season…[that] Bellamy calls the shots, but Raven is so integral to the success of [the group] that they really depend on each other in a very pivotal way. I think it’s cool for Raven to have more leadership and to step up like that.”

As for Raven and Murphy, a friendship was definitely born in the sky.

“The six years was a long time and [there was] a lot of healing. Murphy became a different Murphy in the Ring. He became a team player and part of the family, instead of … being the solitary a–hole that he usually is,” Lindsey adds. “There’s still snarkiness there, I just think there’s a little less bite to it and there’s more understanding of it.”

The 100 will return in April on The CW.

The 100's Lindsey Morgan Almost Quit Acting For Good While Struggling with Depression & Anxiety

Lindsey Morgan really opened up about her struggles with depression in Style Verify‘s new issue.

The 100 actress got in depth about how her anxiety attributed to a deep depression and even led to her quitting acting — but it wasn’t for long.

“I remember I had a low point when I was working on a soap opera, General Hospital, five years ago,” Lindsey recalls. “It was my first real job, and it was so overwhelming. You would work five days a week and have to learn sometimes up to 30 pages of new dialogue a night, then have one take to shoot it all, THE NEXT DAY.”

“It was like performing a new play each DAY, with high emotional stakes and situations. I was playing a character that was very far from who I am as a person. So, it was always more work to understand her and justify her, but I had also replaced an actress, so I was receiving so much internet hate and scrutiny from fans who loved the girl who played her before me.”

The pressure of the job, plus the online haters didn’t do much to help the situation at all.

“I never told anyone how unhappy I was because I was also grateful I had a job versus so many people that didn’t,” Lindsey adds. “I did not think I was allowed to be miserable, but I was overworked, sleep-deprived and just lost.”
