Who Is Michael Corcoran? Meet Elizabeth Gillies' New Husband!

Elizabeth Gillies just revealed that she got married just over a month ago.

The 27-year-old actress wed Michael Corcoran, and many are wondering who he is!

Michael is a 47-year-old musician, composer, songwriter, music producer, and sound designer, who has actually worked on many popular Nickelodeon shows.

Most recently, Michael won a 2020 BMI Cable Television Music Award for his work on the series Henry Danger with Niki Hexum and Zack Hexum.

He has also produced and co-written songs for Drake Bell, the iCarly theme song “Leave It All To Me,” and quite a few songs from Victorious, the Nick show Liz starred in. He’s also composed and scored hundreds of episodes of Nickelodeon shows throughout the years.

His band Backhouse Mike has also appeared on iCarly in the episode “iAm Your Biggest Fan,” as well as the final episode of Zoey 101 as the band Backflesh.

Michael and Elizabeth currently live in Atlanta, where her The CW show Dynasty films.

“Once Dynasty got picked up for a third season, I not-so-subtly suggested that he relocate so that we could start a new chapter in Atlanta,” she told Vogue. “Luckily, he agreed, and we bought a house together. He’s a California guy through and through, so it was a big deal for him to leave L.A. and move to the Southeast.”

Elizabeth Gillies Marries Michael Corcoran In Intimate New Jersey Wedding!

Elizabeth Gillies just shocked fans by revealing she got married!

The 27-year-old Dynasty star married her beau Michael Corcoran in New Jersey on August 8th with their families in New Jersey.

Liz and Michael were originally supposed to get married back in April but postponed their nuptials due to the pandemic.

“Initially, we planned on postponing a year,” Liz told Vogue about their wedding. “Then, as time went on, we decided a big wedding was no longer something that made sense for us. The virus really put things into perspective. That being said, we did want to get married as long as it could be done in a safe and intimate setting with a group that we trusted.”

Liz wore a beautiful dress by Britt Wood Designs, Jimmy Choo shoes and an Oscar De La Renta veil for the ceremony.

The couple also drove up to New Jersey from their home in Atlanta, in an RV with their dogs. They then got tested for Coronavirus and quarantined for two weeks before the wedding.

Liz‘s dad even got ordained just so he could marry them!

“He walked me down the aisle, then quickly switched roles to marry us,” she told Vogue. “It was very sweet! My brother also gave a beautiful reading, which meant a lot to me. On top of that, I had the great privilege of having both my grandmothers there. Although there weren’t many of us, we were surrounded by family. It was everything I could’ve asked for.”

Liz Gillies Says Filming 'Dynasty' From Her Home Is a 'Horrible' Idea

Liz Gillies opened up about the pandemic shutdown on her show Dynasty.

The 26-year-old actress talked with her friends at the Zach Sang Show and dished about where they left off before stopping production.

“We’re in touch. It was really shocking, as I’m sure it was for every single show or production that shut down. They made the decision quickly, I think it had to be made over the network, or the studio, or whatever, and they had to tell us,” Liz said.

“It was right in the middle of our last day of episode 20, but it’s a 22 episode season, so there is no finale at this juncture, and there is no episode before the finale,” she added. “It ends in a very weird place. I don’t know what that means for Netflix or for anything, but I know we’re not the only show experiencing this.”

“I don’t know if we’ll pick up the finale later, I’m not sure what the plan is. It certainly shouldn’t end on the episode we finished, because it’s just really random and nothing’s resolved. I apologize if it does,” Liz continued.

When asked if she thought they could film from home like some other shows are doing, she responded that she doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

“Sounds horrible. Dynasty? You think all of our houses look like the Dynasty set? They don’t, they don’t look like that. I’m wearing matching sweatpants right now,” she said. LOL!

Liz Gillies Doesn't Think a 'Victorious' Reboot Would Be Good, BUT Says Everyone Would Be Down For a Movie Finale

Liz Gillies is speaking out on a Victorious reboot and the possibility of it continuing again in the future.

During a new interview on the Zach Sang Show, the 26-year-old Dynasty actress was asked if a reboot of the show would be good, not that if it’s going to happen and she simply replied with a no.

“Well, it’s like one of those things where if they used the same kind of sets, and they got the same people to do it, then I’d like it,” Liz added. “If they’re getting all new people to do it, and they’re just using that name, and they’re kind of just completely re-branding it, okay. If it’s good, it’s good. That’s all I’m going to say. If it’s done poorly, then I’ll say, ‘I told you so,” and if it’s done well then I’ll be like, ‘Wow, hats off!’”

Zach Sang then asked if she thought it deserved closure, because it didn’t get that, and she quickly said yes.

“That’s something that I always said I would clear my schedule for. No matter how much work I’m doing, or how inconvenient it would be to get it together, that’s something I feel like is really important, and we all believe that,” Liz said.

“A Victorious movie? Yeah, I think that would be amazing. I want to do it, I really want to do it. We all want to do it,” she added on the possibility of a movie. “I can’t see why anyone would say no. Everyone’s down [for a movie], and if they’re not, they suck. If you’re the one person in the cast who’s like, ‘I don’t want to do the thing,’ f–k you.”

“Everyone wants to do it,” she reaffirmed. “We’re all buddies. We want to do this. The fans deserve this. I don’t know when it’s going to happen, we’re so old, [laughs].”

“They’ll take it whenever though, even if we’re all in wheelchairs,” Liz said. “And they should, it was so unresolved. It’s so big now. 10 year anniversary, it’s time.”
