Loren Gray is urging fans to stay home amid the coronavirus crisis.
The 17-year-old singer and social media star explained that her cousin is currently suffering from the disease despite being young and healthy.
“just a reminder that this is not a joke. think about your loved ones. remember that even if you are young, you are at huge risk not just of contracting the virus but spreading it to those you care about,” Loren wrote.
She continued to give insight to her cousin’s condition, saying, “my family said it’s the worst thing they’ve ever seen, and they’re surprised she’s even recovering. they couldn’t go into the room to help her. only leave food outside the door and pray.”
“this can happen to ANYONE. be safe. please. STAY AT HOME,” Loren concluded.
Loren‘s message comes just after Surgeon General Jerome Adams made a plea to Loren and other influencers to spread the message to stay home.

Loren Gray is opening up about what she’s going to do for her 18th birthday!
The 17-year-old singer recently spoke with ET and the LA “lockdown” actually ends on her big day (April 19).
“Safer at home ends on my birthday, on my 18th birthday. I’m coming out of quarantine an adult. It’s really weird,” Loren said. “I have no idea [how to celebrate]. I can’t make any plans or anything. I don’t know if my parents will be able to come by the time… I’m just seeing what happens. I’m not a big celebration person, I don’t need a big party. I just want to hang.”
“We’ll celebrate it later. I don’t need to do it on the day. When everything’s safe. I think safety is more important,” she added.
Loren also dished on what she’s doing while stuck at home, including recording vocals for new music.
“That’s the mindset I’m in, is do what I can do, do what I can control, and stay productive. I feel like it can get depressing really fast, being home and not having anything to do. I think being productive is important.”
Loren Gray is getting candid about her songwriting process!
The 17-year-old “Anti-Everything” singer and TikTok star opened up in a new interview with J-14.
“Last year I was 16, it was my first round of releasing music,” Loren said. “Since then I’ve been working more on having an identity as an artist and really figuring out what it is that I want to talk about and how I want to sound. That’s kind of been what this last year has been looking like. Hopefully I’ll be releasing music again soon. Very soon.â€
Loren added that she’s “not sure†if she’s going to release an album: “I don’t know yet, [I’m going to release] some kind of body of music but I’m not sure what it’s going to be yet. I’m kind of just getting the content right now and getting the songs, picking which ones I like.â€
On whether or not she’ll tour, Loren shared, “Of course, that’s what I’m aiming for. I think my favorite part. My favorite aspect of music is the performance part! So that’s what I’m most excited about. [Creating] the music, that’s the hard part. Then the performing and tour, that’s the easy part.â€
On her writing process, Loren explained, “I write a lot of my own music. I usually go in with a producer, and every now and then there will be another writer in the room. I just kind of talk about what’s happening in my life and it’s kind of like a therapy session. Usually something good comes out of that. Or sometimes other writers will come to me with ideas and then I’ll put my own spin on it. It’s usually really collaborative and open and it’s very therapeutic for me as well.â€

Loren Gray is letting fans know why she didn’t attend Playlist Live over the weekend.
The 17-year-old singer and social media star revealed during an Instagram live that those kind of events cause her a lot of anxiety.
“I haven’t gone to any of those in a while. Mostly because it stresses me out. They give me so much anxiety, for one. And, I don’t know, I feel like there’s so much drama that I avoid at all costs,” Loren explained.
She continued, “The only reason I went to Playlist before or VidCon or any of those things was to meet you guys and I feel like I can do that on my own. I feel like it’s more special when I do it on my own.”

Loren Gray has launched a new challenge on TikTok!
The 17-year-old singer is the most followed person on the platform and has started “The Man” challenge.
If you didn’t know, Taylor Swift recently dropped her new music video for “The Man” where she transformed into a man.
Loren had a cameo appearance in the video, and you can see what she and Taylor said about working together RIGHT HERE!

Taylor even saw the video and shared it on her Instagram Story, writing, “She didn’t have to snap this hard but I’m glad she did.”

The two actresses stepped out for the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women fashion show on Wednesday (February 5) at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
