Max Ehrich has seemingly finally spoken to Demi Lovato about the ending of their engagement.

The 29-year-old actor took to his Instagram story once again to share that a “chapter has closed” on Monday morning (September 28).

“One chapter finally closed this am. And now I turn the page,” he shared in a note on his story. “Focused on wellness, love, God, my family, friends, and my art. Good vibes only :)”

Max‘s latest note comes just hours after he took to his story to gush about his love for Demi, and referred to her by her full name Demetria.

Max has also claimed that he learned about the split from a tabloid, like the rest of the world, though sources close to Demi say that he definitely knew before the news broke.

In addition, both Demi and Max have both cleared their Instagram accounts of all photos of the two together. He still has a few photos up of him with her dog Batman though, as well as a picture of a picture of him and Demi. Fans also noted that she has unfollowed him.

Max Ehrich is doubling down on the claim that he found out that Demi Lovato ended their engagement via the tabloids, despite the fact that sources are saying she did inform him before it hit the press.

“I was on the set of my new movie, Southern Gospel, with crew and cast members right next to me who literally watched me open my phone where I then opened a tabloid,” Max wrote in a statement posted to his Instagram Story. “This is the God’s honest truth of how I found out about the ending of the engagement and have people from my film who saw the whole thing go down and helped me get back into character to continue my job.” He also added that he wants the narrative to end.

Hours later, Max took to Instagram Story again to claim his innocence and send a message directly to Demi.

“Please stop trying to ‘Thank you, next’ me,” he wrote. “For I’m just a human being who has to go to work tomorrow AM where there are families with kids relying on me. To this moment… we haven’t spoken over the phone… we haven’t even officially ended anything to each other, literally. I’m here in real time with y’all. I love Demetria and just want her to be healthy and safe.”

He then wrote to Demi, “If you’re reading this… I love you always… unconditionally… no matter what.”

He added, “Demetria is THEE best female vocalist alive. And everyone should know it. She inspires me every day and is an INCREDIBLE human being. I know it’s not her writing these stories, it’s a machine. I love her unconditionally.”

“Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid,” Max said. “While your [sic] in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people.”

The source says this isn’t true and that Demi broke up with Max before the news went public.

“Demi made Max aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press,” a source told People.

Sources have spoken out about what went wrong in the relationship and it seems that Demi realized that she didn’t trust Max and his intentions.

It sounds like Max Ehrich found out that Demi Lovato ended their engagement at the same time as the rest of the world.

The 29-year-old actor claims that he found out about the breakup by seeing it in the tabloids.

Max took to his Instagram Stories on early Saturday morning (September 26) to share his side of the breakup.

Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich are going their separate ways after only two months of being engaged!

The duo have reportedly called off their engagement and split up, bringing their whirlwind romance to an end.

“It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers,” a source told People. “They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”

Demi and Max got engaged back in July after only four months of dating. They began dating at the beginning of quarantine in March.

Just recently, Demi spoke out in an interview about the two possibly eloping.

Max is currently in Mississippi filming his new movie Southern Gospel. Demi has been working on new music and other projects.

The 28-year-old “OK Not To Be OK” recently dished about the couple possibly eloping and not wearing a traditional white dress.

“With the pandemic, on one hand, I would love to elope because my life is so public and I want to keep it sacred between me and him,” Demi told PopCrush. “On the other hand, I want my friends and family to be there for a celebration, but I can’t do that until the pandemic’s over ’cause it’s not safe.”

“It’s like, do we do that [elope] in the meantime and do that [a big wedding ceremony] later? It’s all this planning,” she added.

Demi also shared that in her vision for her wedding, she wouldn’t be wearing a white dress.

“I have my image for what I would want it to be if I got to do a big celebration. I don’t wanna give it away but it’s definitely not a white dress,” she said, adding that she has already started looking at dresses.

The 28-year-old singer took to her Instagram Story on Sunday (September 13), seemingly addressing the screenshots of the tweets that are circulating, allegedly written by her fiance Max Ehrich.

In the tweets, the 29-year-old actor gushes about his crush on Selena Gomez, while also saying she’s a better singer than Demi.

“Hahaha selena gomez and demi are cute together [sic] but boy if you think demi is prettier…you’re WRONG!” Max allegedly tweeted.

“There’s a female singer that screams so much, that’s why my girl S is better than you know who,” Max allegedly tweeted in 2015 along with a crying laughing emoji.

Demi is now seemingly responding to the tweets, calling them “fake.”

“It’s really sad when people FAKE images to put women against each other. If women have conflict that’s between them NOT YOU,” Demi started her message.

“Secondly, don’t y’all have more important s–t to write about in 2020???” Demi continued. “I challenge any tabloid that dares to type my name to mention Breonna Taylor and the face that her murderers still haven’t been arrested. WRITE ABOUT THAT.”

“So while on one hand I understand have compassion for those who are so horrified at the reality of 2020 that they gotta distract themselves with doctored images in order to not focus on how bad these times are – but on the other hand, if you’re aren’t 13 years old trying to grasp the reality of right now, put on your adult underpants and write about what actually matters. Please.” Demi added.

During an interview earlier this year, Demi said that she was “not friends” with Selena anymore.
