Meghan Trainor Has A Crazy Nickname For Husband Daryl Sabara

Meghan Trainor sits down for a chat with Lilly Singh on her new talk show, A Little Late, on Wednesday night (October 2).

In the middle of their chat, the 25-year-old singer revealed that she and her family have a funny, and crazy nickname for her husband, Daryl Sabara.

“We call him ‘Serial Killer’ because he looks crazy in a lot of pictures,” Meghan revealed. “But, also, he does, like, suspicious things that we’re like, ‘Are you a serial killer and we just haven’t figured it out yet?’ Like, he’ll go to the movies by himself, but not, like, just one movie, like four back-to-back. Like, solo dolo.”

But although they have that nickname for him, Daryl is anything but.

“He’s the most supportive human being ever and the nicest guy in the world,” Meghan added. “Like, you won’t believe how nice he is.”

Meghan Trainor Never Worked Harder On a Song Than New Track 'Wave'

Meghan Trainor wears platform shoes to the SiriusXM Hollywood studios on Friday (September 27) in Los Angeles.

The 25-year-old singer joined her collaborator Mike Sabath to promote their brand new song “Wave“.

“This song has been in the works for three years, and I’m so excited to finally release it!” Meghan said in a statement. “I’ve never worked harder on a song. Mike Sabath’s production and verse took it to a whole new level. I know my fans have been waiting a long time for this one, and they deserve the best. I’m happy they stuck with me. I hope they love it!”

The song will be featured on Meghan‘s upcoming album Treat Myself, and the music video will be released on October 7th!

Meghan Trainor Will Serve as a Coach on 'The Voice UK!'

Meghan Trainor has signed on a coach for The Voice UK!

The “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” crooner – who served as a judge on Fox’s The Four – will replace singer Jennifer Hudson on the show.

Meghan said (via Deadline), “I am so excited and honored to join Sir Tom, will.i.am and Olly Murs as the new Coach on The Voice UK. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to sit in the chair with my own button and listen to some incredible new talent.”

Emma Willis will return to present. Filming begins in October, and the series will hit ITV in the New Year.

Jennifer revealed that she left the show due to “filming commitments.” She will star in the film adaptation of Cats, and she is and filming for the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect.

“Meghan Trainor is such an exciting addition to The Voice UK,” added Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment, ITV. “She has blown us away with her energy and enthusiasm and, although our youngest coach, an impressive career in music set to inspire all who join Team Meghan. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks, love and luck for the future to Jennifer Hudson. She has been a tremendous Coach, loved by viewers and the singers she has worked with during her time on the show.”

Meghan Trainor had one of her biggest dreams come true – and covered the Friends theme song, “I’ll Be There For You”!

“I can’t believe Warner Bros. asked me to do this,” the 25-year-old singer shared in a statement. “I’m so honored! I’m so excited that I get to be a part of celebrating such a legendary and iconic show like Friends!”

Meghan revealed to Rolling Stone that she even has her family singing in the background: “I actually cut the vocals in my backyard in my studio, with my little brother, my older brother, my husband, and my best friend, and we were just all laughing and in disbelief. Like, ‘How is this really happening?’ It was a big party, the best night.”

“I’ll Be There For You” was co-written by the Rembrandts, Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, Kauffman’s husband Michael Skloff and songwriter Alee Willis, and served as the theme song for the popular television series throughout its’ 10 season run.

Meghan Trainor Is Re-Recording the 'Friends' Theme Song

Meghan Trainor has a new song coming out next week… and it’s a song you likely know and love already!

The 25-year-old singer has recorded a cover version of “I’ll Be There for You,” the Friends theme song, and it will be released on the show’s 25th anniversary.

The cover will air on radio station Z100 on Sunday, September 22 at 8:30pm ET, which is the exact time that the first episode debuted on September 22, 1994.

The Empire State Building will have a special music-to-light show set to the tune of the song at that moment too. Fans will be able to download the song at midnight eastern time on September 23.

“I can’t believe Warner Bros. asked me to do this,” Meghan said in a statement. “I’m so honored! I’m so excited that I get to be a part of celebrating such a legendary and iconic show like Friends!”

Meghan Trainor Shines Like a Diamond For 'Today' Show Performance

Meghan Trainor brought all the bling with her outfit while performing on Today on Friday morning (September 13) in New York City.

Following her appearances at a few New York Fashion Week events, the 25-year-old singer stepped out for the event, performing “With You”, her collaboration with Kaskade.

“I’m a huge Kaskade fan. I love Kaskade. He’s a really nice guy, too,” Meghan shared. “We have this song together and I love it so much. It’s like my first DJ bop, and I want the world to enjoy it and play it all summer long.”

There may be only a few days left in summer, but Meghan Trainor is here to give you a song to bring you into the fall!

The 25-year-old singer just dropped her song “Genetics” and we’ll definitely be listening on repeat this weekend.

The song has previously been leaked and many die-hard Meghan fans probably already have it memorized, but now the rest of the world is going to fall in love with it as well.

Fans are still eagerly awaiting the release of Meghan‘s upcoming third studio album Treat Myself, which was scheduled to be released in the summer of 2018. Now it’s expected to finally be released in early 2020 and we can’t wait.
