Millicent Simmonds Reveals How John Krasinski Convinced Her To Do 'A Quiet Place Part 2'

Millicent Simmonds stripes it up at the Empire State Building on Monday (March 9) in New York City.

The 17-year-old A Quiet Place Part II actress had some fun at the top of the building, as well as inside!

That day, Millicent also stopped by People Now and talked about how director John Krasinski convinced her to sign on for the second film.

“He called me. After a few months, when we finished A Quiet Place, after it came out, he called me… We felt like, ‘How could you follow up this movie, it was so perfect, why would you have a sequel?’” she said.

“But John called, and it was about a 45 minute conversation, and he said, “Milli, just tell me what you think about this,’” Millicent continued. “And when I heard that it was much more action oriented and so emotionally intense, of course I had to do it.”

The 24-year-old actress showed off her recently dyed blonde hair.

Also in attendance at the premiere were two of the movie’s stars Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe.

Katherine recently announced that she has partnered up with her Arrow co-star Stephen Amell and his company Nocking Point for a new wine collaboration.

Teen Vogue is celebrating the Young Hollywood class of 2020 with its new issue and some of the cover stars stepped out to celebrate the issue at an event on Wednesday (February 5) at San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, Calif.

Kaitlyn Dever, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Millicent Simmonds, and Sofia Carson are all featured on covers for the new Teen Vogue issue. For this year’s cover profiles, each rising star was paired in conversation with an industry veteran who helped pave the way. The other covers stars are Jacob Batalon, Ncuti Gatwa, Theo Germaine, Dafne Keen, and Liza Koshy.

The four stars pictured were all in attendance to celebrate the covers and they were joined by Kaitlyn‘s Unbelievable co-star Danielle Macdonald and Paris Jackson.

Kaitlyn Dever, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Thomasin McKenzie walk the red carpet at the 2020 Hollywood Critics’ Association Awards on Thursday night (January 9) at Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles.

The three stars were some of the celebs honored as part of the Next Generation of Hollywood at the event. The other honorees this year were Kelvin Harrison Jr., Geraldine Viswanathan, Brooklynn Prince, Millicent Simmonds, Mckenna Grace, Zoey Deutch, Noah Jupe, Lana Condor, and Shahadi Wright Joseph.

Kelvin, Geraldine, Brooklynn, Millicent, and Mckenna were there to accept their awards as well!

Kaitlyn also won the award for Best Performance by an Actress 23 and Under. Booksmart won for Best Comedy/Musical.

Millicent Simmonds To Lead Freeform's 'Close Up' Pilot

Millicent Simmonds is set to star in Freeform’s new pilot, Close Up.

Deadline reports that the 16-year-old actress will star as Jen in the series and will communicate on screen in American Sign Language.

Close Up is set in a seemingly normal suburban town in Centreville, New Jersey, and follows high school student Rachel Guyer, who is on a mission to expose the truth about her hometown and turn her community inside out.

Millicent‘s role as Jen is described as “self-possessed and funny and tends to retreat into a rich imaginative inner world. Due to her impaired hearing, she is a natural observer and knows her town like the back of her hand. One to normally avoid attention at all costs, she takes a courageous step forward in the aftermath of a recent trauma.”

The Last Movie Star actress, the Status Update star, and the Good Witch actress joined forces at the event held at Tacoma Dome on Thursday (April 18) in Tacoma, Wash.

They were joined by Bunk’d actress Skai Jackson, ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer, Black‑ish actor Marcus Scribner, and “Level Up” singer Ciara.

Also in attendance were Stranger Things actor Gaten Matarazzo, retired professional basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, A Quiet Place actress Millicent Simmonds, pop duo MKTO, and “Sleep” singer Johnny Orlando.
