Jonah Hauer-King is seen showing off his shirtless body while filming new scenes for the upcoming live action The Little Mermaid on Wednesday (June 23) in Sardinia, Italy.

The 26-year-old actor stars as Prince Eric in the movie, and was also seen filming with co-star Noma Dumezweni.

Noma Dumezweni Joins the Cast of the Live Action 'The Little Mermaid' In New Role

The live action The Little Mermaid is getting a brand new character!

Actress Noma Dumezweni is joining the cast in a new role that is not in the original, animated The Little Mermaid film, Deadline reports.

While Noma‘s casting has been revealed as a new character, no other details were made available.

The live action version of the film, which stars Halle Bailey as Ariel, is being directed by Rob Marshall, and features songs from the original film as well as new songs from composer Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

In case you missed it, Disney recently confirmed the main cast of the movie, including who will play Ursula, Triton, Scuttle, Prince Eric and more!

Noma has recently appeared in the mini-series The Undoing. She also played Miss Penny Farthing in Mary Poppins Returns.

Noma is also very well known for originating the role of Hermione Granger in the West End and Broadway runs of Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. Her portrayal earned her a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, and a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

Emma Watson Cried Seeing 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' for the First Time

Emma Watson got super emotional while watching Harry Potter and the Cursed Child!

The 26-year-old actress explained that seeing Noma Dumezweni portray Hermione in the play brought her to tears.

“It was so strange. It was so emotional seeing Noma‘s performance in a way that I had not anticipated at all. I went to the play…and she walked in the room and I just spontaneously burst into tears,” she explained to EW.

Emma added, “I had played that character so intensely up until that point, that to know that Hermione was going to be okay – I know it sounds crazy – but to know that everything turned out all right and everything in the world was okay, that there was someone else carrying her on and carrying her forward…it was just such a relief.”

Emma Watson is sharing her thoughts on the casting of African-American actress Noma Dumezweni in the role of an adult Hermione in the upcoming stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

The 25-year-old actress says she can’t wait to see Noma in the role when the play begins performances in June!

“Can’t wait to see Noma Dumezweni as Hermione on stage this year,” she wrote on Twitter along with a ton of heart emojis.

There was some controversy after Noma was chosen to play the role, but author J.K. Rowling shut down any critics with a simple tweet.
