The DC Comics movie from Warner Bros will smash into theaters on July 29, 2022.
The logline teaser for the movie reads, “The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change.”
Titular star Dwayne Johnson shared the news on Instagram, writing, “A disruptive and unstoppable global force of a message from the man in black himself ⬛ï¸ðŸŒâš¡ï¸ BLACK ADAM is coming July 29, 2022. The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change.”
Noah will star in the film as Al Rothstein / Atom Smasher, who can control his molecular structure and is able to manipulate his size and strength.
While the movie’s official plot is being kept secret, for now, Black Adam “focuses on the DC character that was originally created as the archnemesis for the hero now known as Shazam. In modern times, however, the character has evolved into a more complex and conflicted anti-hero, rising to become one of DC’s more prominent characters. His origins are tied to ancient Egypt and his powers are supernatural in nature.â€

According to THR, “Cyclone is Maxine Hunkell, the granddaughter of the original Red Tornado, a female character introduced in 1940. The more well-known Red Tornado was created decades later and is an android with wind-related powers. Cyclone has wind and sound-generating powers.”
