'Rugrats' Reboot Gets Paramount+ Premiere Date & New Trailer - Watch Now!

The official Rugrats trailer has arrived!!

The upcoming CGI-animated reboot will premiere on Paramount+ and follows the babies on even bigger adventures.

Rugrats will feature the original voice cast of all of the kids – Tommy (E.G. Daily), Chuckie (Nancy Cartwright), Angelica (Cheryl Chase), Susie (Cree Summer), and Phil and Lil (Kath Soucie). There will also be some new voices on the show. Find out which stars are joining the cast!

The series is set to premiere on the streaming service on May 27th with the first batch of episodes. Additional episodes will premiere at a later date.

In the one hour season premiere, “Second Time Around,” Tommy leads the babies on a daring adventure to help Chuckie after his big attempt to be brave goes horribly wrong. Warning: dinosaurs are involved.

After the season’s run on Paramount+, it will then premiere on Nickelodeon at a date that will be announced at a later time.

'Rugrats' Reboot Announces New Voice Cast for Grown-Up Roles

The upcoming Rugrats reboot has added some brand new voices to the franchise!

While the original voice cast reprises their roles for the kids, the grown-ups have new actors voicing the characters.

Tony Hale has been cast as Chuckie’s dad Chas, Nicole Byer will voice Susie’s mom Lucy, and Natalie Morales will voice Phil and Lil’s mom Betty.

Also joining the cast are Ashley Rae Spillers and Tommy Dewey as Tommy Pickles’ parents Didi and Stu, Anna Chlumsky and Timothy Simons as Angelica’s parents Charlotte and Drew, Omar Miller as Susie’s dad Randy, and Michael McKean as Grandpa Lou Pickles.

“This incredibly talented group of actors provides a fresh and very funny take on these iconic roles, combining humor with heart to bring the characters to life in a whole new way,” Liz Paulson, Senior Vice President, Talent and Casting, Nickelodeon, said in a statement.

“The all-new Rugrats is packed with comedy, music and adventures that only babies can embark upon, and the role of the grown-ups is an essential piece of the series,” Ramsey Naito, President, Nickelodeon Animation, added.

It was just announced that the hit Nickelodeon series Rugrats is returning for an all new CGI-animated show on Paramount+, debuting this spring.

The new, reimagined series will reunite the original voices of Tommy (E.G. Daily), Chuckie (Nancy Cartwright), Angelica (Cheryl Chase), Susie (Cree Summer), and Phil and Lil (Kath Soucie).

Rugrats focuses on a group of toddlers, Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster, twins Phil and Lil DeVille, and Angelica Pickles, and their day-to-day lives that became adventures in their imaginations.

The original premiered in 1991 and ran for nine seasons over 13 years. It also spawned three movies – The Rugrats Movie, Rugrats In Paris: The Movie and Rugrats Go Wild.

It even earned four Daytime Emmy Awards, six Kids’ Choice Awards and its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

'Rugrats' Is Coming Back to Nickelodeon!

We’re so excited that Nickelodeon is bringing back Rugrats to new episodes!

The network just announced that a revival series has been ordered and we’ll be getting 26 new episodes of the beloved animated show. Production is already underway in Burbank, according to THR. Casting for the series will be announced at a later date.

A live-action film has also been greenlit and it will feature CGI characters. Both the TV show and the movie will follow the original characters such as Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Susie, and Angelica.
