The name of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds‘ baby girl has finally been revealed and we totally love it!
The 38-year-old actor confirmed the name while appearing on The Today Show on Friday morning (March 20).
“It is Butternut Summersquash,” Ryan joked. “No, it’s out there! It’s out there. It’s James. Everyone knows and I told everyone who would listen that.”
“Before it was out there I didn’t want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, ‘Why did you do that?’” Ryan added.

There’s apparently been a source that has revealed to E! News that the couple named their little girl James! There had been previous reports that Blake and Ryan named their baby Violet but he shot down those rumors.
Ryan has been tight-lipped about the baby name – and even played a game about baby names with David Letterman.
We have no idea if this new rumor is true – but it sure is a cute name!
It has been confirmed that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively did not named their baby daughter Violet as it was previously reported.
“No, that’s not the name. I don’t know want to get into that, but I don’t know where that came from,” the 38-year-old actor shared to USA Today at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.

Though Ryan did not reveal the name, he did talk about fatherhood.
Ryan said, “It’s still so new that it’s hard to conceive being away for more than seven hours at a time. I had to go to Sundance this last week. I was more excited to get a good night’s sleep. It was borderline pornographic for me.”

The 27-year-old actress and the 38-year-old actor reportedly named their baby daughter Violet, according to a tweet from a person claiming to work at Westchester Medical Center.

“Congrats @blakelively #blakelively glad to have you and baby girl violet in our care,” the hospital employee wrote on Twitter.
Blake and Ryan welcomed their first child together right before the new year. The baby arrived earlier than expected, but is doing really well.

The 27-year-old pregnant actress recently chatted about some things she will want to pass on to her upcoming baby.
“If I could pass along anything that my mother or my sisters taught me, I feel like my kids will be very well off,” Blake recently told People about raising her baby. “My mom was someone who juggled everything. She had her own career, she raised five kids, she was Superwoman.”
“And she was never satisfied doing just one thing because … she probably just had too much energy. So for me, it was important to have that because that’s what I felt like I knew best,” Blade added.

Blake Lively is such a big fan of Martha Stewart that she has given her permission to “creep” on her husband Ryan Reynolds!
“When we met Martha, Martha goes, ‘I know how to ride motorcycles. I will ride with you, Ryan,’” she said (via E! Online). “That’s the only woman that could creep up on my man!”
“He is probably more [involved] than he wants to be but what’s important about Preserve is it’s not just about females. It’s about families,” Blake continued. “It’s not just female specific. I love shopping for him as much as I love shopping for myself as well as I love creating meals for him.”

Blake Lively is currently pregnant with her first child and she and hubby Ryan Reynolds will reportedly wait until the baby is born to learn the gender!
“Blake and Ryan aren’t finding out what they’re having,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They want to be surprised!”
Blake recently told the outlet that Ryan is taking great care of her during her pregnancy.
“He’s always good to me,” she said. “That’s like a jerky thing to say because you want to be able to complain about your husband and be that person, but he takes pretty good care of me.”
