Katherine McNamara & Luke Baines React To 'Shadowhunters' Times Square Billboards

There’s just one day left until the series finale of Shadowhunters and fans have debuted a special billboard for the occasion.

Taking over the corner of 49th and 7th avenues in NYC’s iconic Times Square, the three fold billboard features Clary and Jace in silhouetted images, designed by fan and artist David, aka IconicNephilim.

“By the angel, THIS. FANDOM. ♥️ My heart is so full,” Katherine McNamara reacted to the fan-funded billboard on Twitter this weekend. “The #Shadowfam does it again. Thank you, magical angels! #ShadowhuntersLegacy.”

Luke Baines added, “I will never get tired of saying: THIS FANDOM IS INCREDIBLE. You’ve proved how much this show matters. I hope you’re all so proud of what you’ve accomplished.”

Dark Magnus Was Going To Be A Big Storyline in 'Shadowhunters' Season 4

Shadowhunters will be ending with an explosive two and a half hour series finale next week – and we’re still not okay with it.

In a new interview with Metro, showrunners Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer opened up about what would’ve been happening in season four and we need it to happen right now!

“Dark Magnus was something we were going to lean into and Asmodeus was going to be a huge part of season four,” they shared. “That was really exciting, and Alec would bring him back from the dark side, that was a story we loved.”

See, we need this!

Luke Baines also would’ve been more involved in the series as Jonathan.

“Jonathan would have been bigger and badder than ever, and the darkest part of him would come out,” Todd and David added. “Luke was just getting started and that’s what’s so hard, he’s so talented but there are so many more stories to tell of him.”

The Shadowhunters series finale will air Monday, May 6th on Freeform.

Alec and Magnus are finally engaged on Shadowhunters!

Just before reuniting in the episode, Magnus figured out why Alec really broke things off, and right then, proposed to him.

“You forgot something in New York,” Magnus said while handing over the family ring. “Alexander Gideon Lightwood, will you marry me?” And Alec replied, “Only if you’ll marry me too.”

Harry Shum, Jr. told TVLine that “it’s a beautiful moment. I love that it happens when it’s least expected.”

Matthew Daddario added, “Their entire relationship has been built around conflict and angst. This is something we could have done earlier or later, but it had to happen in the end, so I’m happy that it’s happening the way it is.”

The Shadowhunters series finale kicks off next week on Freeform.

Katherine McNamara Says The 'Shadowhunters' Series Final Is 'Really Special'

Katherine McNamara Says The 'Shadowhunters' Series Final Is 'Really Special'

Can you believe that we’re only a month out from the series finale of Shadowhunters? We don’t want to believe it either.

Katherine McNamara is still keeping mum on what fans can expect in the two and a half hour movie, but she did drop some hints.

“I could give you a list a mile long of moments [to be excited about],” Kat shared with Syfy. “But our finale is really special. It really does give closure to as many things as we possibly could.”

She adds about the episodes before that, “I think the next few episodes are gonna be special for a lot of people [and] for book fans in particular. We hit a lot of those iconic book moments that we haven’t gotten to yet. I think it makes the series really feel like we’ve actually accomplished what we set out to do.”

Shadowhunters airs Mondays on Freeform.
