Navia Robinson was serving up major looks at the 2019 Halloween Horror Nights press event held at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday night (September 12) in Universal City, Calif.
The 14-year-old Raven’s Home star was joined on the red carpet by former The Originals star Joseph Morgan and his wife, Persia White, plus 13 Reasons Why‘s Devin Druid.
The young stars were in attendance to talk about their new movie The Lion King, where they voice Young Nala and Young Simba.
During their appearance, Shahadi and JD talked about the recording process, and how the did all their voice recordings together.
“I’m so glad that we actually got the opportunity to do that because I feel like it wouldn’t have been as authentic or it wouldn’t have sounded like we were actually friends if we hadn’t worked with each other,” Shahadi dished.
“Whenever I was in a scene with somebody, they were there with me. It was pretty cool,” JD added.
The Lion King star, who voices Young Nala in the film, released the inspiring pop and R&B song this week via Billboard.
“I’m loving this skin I’m in, I’m in/ But at times it can get so hard/ I’m loving this skin I’m in, I’m in/ But I’m bigger than my scars,†she sings.
“‘Skin I’m In’ is an anthem to remind us all to love ourselves on our best and worst days,†Shahadi said. “Daily challenges are unavoidable but can be taken in stride when we choose to say, ‘I am enough.’”
