The 28-year-old Olympic gymnast revealed she’s expecting her second child with husband Andrew East in a new YouTube video.
“Here we go again @thefamilyeast #babyeast,” she also shared on Instagram.
Baby East is coming this summer, and they are both hoping for a little boy.
“I think every time I get a pregnancy test positive after the miscarriage, I try to numb myself and be like, ‘OK, here’s the situation: You’re pregnant, we don’t know how it’s going to end,’” she says in the video. “I don’t celebrate it, which is kind of sad. I get very excited, but I also get very daunted by the situation.”
While they were excited about the second baby on the way, just a few days later, Andrew found out he tested positive for COVID-19. He then had to isolate from the family for 10 days.
Shawn Johnson has shared her daughter’s name with her fans on social media.
After spending a few days with her baby girl, the 27-year-old Olympian and husband Andrew East, revealed the name of their daughter on their pages.
“Drew Hazel East, 8lbs 8oz, 20.5 inches long, 10/29/19,” Shawn shared with a sweet new photo of her little family. “Named after the most incredible person I know… her daddy. @andrewdeast @theeastbaby.”
The 27-year-old Olympian and expectant mamma got a dare from her husband, Andrew East, to try on her leotard she wore to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games – at 40 weeks pregnant!
And guess what? They fit and look fab on her!

She added, “But no joke… this babes is already more rewarding than any medal was. BABY! GET HERE ALREADY! #pregnant #gymnastics.”
