The 2021 Daytime Emmy Award nominations have just been revealed!

Netflix picked up quite a few noms, including a whopping seven (three of which are in the same category) for the fan favorite musical series Julie and the Phantoms.

Julie is not the only series from the streamer with nominations – Ashley Garcia: Genius In Love, Trinkets, Dash & Lily and Alexa & Katie all have noms!

Paulina Chávez and Bella Podaras are reacting to the sad news that Ashley Garcia: Genius In Love has been canceled.

The two starred in the Netflix series as Ashley Garcia and Brooke Bishop, respectively.

“hey y’all. unfortunately Ashley Garcia wasn’t picked up for another season,” Paulina wrote on Instagram. “i wanna thank the show creators, executives, & Netflix for allowing me to bring Ashley to life. i love every single one of the people i got to work with – an AMAZING cast & crew.”

“Ashley Garcia is a stepping stone for representing Latinos & minorities in positive roles,” she continued. “thank you to the fans! every single one of y’all mean so so much to me, even if i can’t respond to each of your messages, i wish i could. thank you for such an amazing journey. it’s only the beginning<3"

"We found out today that Ashley Garcia will not be picked up for another season. I have no words. Thank you thank you thank you. This was a dream come true," Bella shared on her Instagram.

Another Netflix series is coming to an end!

Ashley Garcia: Genius In Love will come to a close after a previously filmed special, Christmas episode this December, Deadline reports.

Here’s a synopis: When Ashley Garcia — the world’s only 15-and-a-half-year-old robotics genius engineer and rocket scientist — gets the chance to work for a prestigious company, she moves across the country to live with her fun-loving Uncle Victor, a pro football player turned high school coach who’s never met a responsibility he can’t shirk.

The series kicked off with part one, titled The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia back in February, with part two Ashley Garcia: Genius In Love premiering in July. It ran for a total of 14 episodes, not including the Christmas one.

The cast of the series also took part in the Netflix crossover event Game On, where they also joined stars from The Big Show Show, Mr. Iglesias, and Family Reunion.

Ashley Garcia stars Paulina Chávez, Bella Podaras, Conor Husting, Reed Horstmann and Jencarlos Canela.

The cast of the show revealed the exciting news on social media on Wednesday morning (June 24).

When Reed Horstmann was a little kid, he thought all movies were real!

The The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia actor just spilled about the hilarious story of how he discovered acting was a career and knew he wanted to pursue it.

Reed also told JJJ about his athletic background, his unpopular favorite musician and his best bithday ever.

• I’ve played guitar for 5 years. The first song I ever learned was probably “TNT” by AC/DC.
• My favorite way to listen to music is through vinyl records; Van Halen 1 is my current favorite.
• When I was younger, I used to have an old school Bieber haircut and glasses…not my finest look.
• Unpopular opinion: I think country music is awesome, especially older country. Johnny Cash was one of my favorite artists as a youngster, and he still is today.
• When I was little, I never understood the concept of acting. To me, everything I saw in a movie or show was 100% real. This was how I thought for years. It wasn’t until I was about five or six that I figured it out. When I was very young my dad showed me the Star Wars films; my favorite character was Han Solo. When I got a bit older, I saw the first Indiana Jones movie. I was immediately confused because why was Han Solo in this movie? My parents had to explain to me that he’s just an actor playing a role. This absolutely shattered me but was fascinating at the same time. I guess that was the beginning of my interest to become an actor.

Conor Husting had the cutest nickname as a child!

Just Jared Jr recently caught up with the actor to learn more about him, and we sure did find out some great, fun facts.

The rising actor really stepped into the spotlight with a role on Netflix’s Prince of Peoria, before landing his current role as Tad Cameron on The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia, which is currently streaming on Netflix.

In the show, Conor plays a ditzy football player who may or may not be into Ashley, but has an off and on, rocky relationship with his girlfriend Bella.
