It’s finally official – a third movie in The Kissing Booth franchise is on the way and Joey King confirmed that it has ALREADY BEEN FILMED!

The 20-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Joel Courtney, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Meganne Young to announce the exciting news during a Fan Fest live stream on YouTube.

The latest movie in the franchise ends on a huge cliffhanger and fans are so excited to find out what happens in the next movie.

“I want to thank the fans for their tremendous support… the explosion of love has been so real. It’s because of everyone on here that all of this has happened,” Joey said while announcing the news on the live stream.

The Kissing Booth 3 will be released in 2021 and the movie was filmed back-to-back with the sequel last summer. The cast said that on some days they would shoot scenes for both of the films!

The Kissing Booth 2 is now the number one movie on all of Netflix and two of the film’s stars, Joey King and Taylor Zakhar Perez, reunited to celebrate the special news.

The 20-year-old actress revealed that she and Taylor, 28, got tested for COVID-19 so that they could safely reunite on Saturday (July 25) at her home in Los Angeles.

“Got tested just so we could hug today,” Joey captioned the pics on her stories.

Joey has a “Kissing Booth 2″ hanging on the window in her dining room and she celebrated the success of the movie with a delicious-looking cake. You might also notice that she is wearing the special cardigan that Taylor Swift has been sending to celebs!

The Kissing Booth 2 debuted on Netflix on Friday and Joey got all dressed up at home to celebrate the premiere since there was no red carpet event this year.

The Kissing Booth 2 has been out for just one day and it’s of course already a big hit!

At the time of this post, the sequel is the number one title in the US on Netflix, AND The Kissing Booth is even the number nine movie in the US.

If you’ve seen the movie, you already know that the surprising ending was kind of left on a bit of a cliffhanger, leaving open the possibility of another movie.

Netflix has yet to announce if a third movie is happening, but fans are yearning for more, and so are we!!

Stars of the movie, Joey King, Joel Courtney, Jacob Elordi and newbies Taylor Zakhar Perez and Maisie Richardson-Sellers, are all dishing on the possibility of a third film, but not all of them are exactly on board…

“Well, me and the cast have been talking and we want that so bad and we’re kind of relying on the fans to help us out,” Joey previously said. “They loved the first one so much and they’re the reason that we got a sequel. So if they love this one and they make it known to the world and to Netflix, our fingers are crossed that Netflix will give us a third movie because that’s what we want really badly.”

“So many of these things end with cliffhangers, you kind of leave it up for interpretation,” Jacob told ET about TKB2 being the end. “Myself personally, I don’t know what I’m doing after this phone call, so [I'm] not sure how to answer that… I have no idea.”

Joey King‘s new movie The Kissing Booth 2 is out now and she celebrated the release on Friday (July 24) by participating in a virtual premiere at her home in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old actress reprises her role as Elle Evans in the Netflix movie and since she can’t promote the film on a red carpet, we love seeing her get all dolled up at home.

The Kissing Booth 2 is out on Netflix now and the stars are spilling the tea!

Joey King, Jacob Elordi and Joel Courtney all reprise their roles in the sequel to the hit first movie.

In TKB2, Elle Evans (King) just had the most romantic summer of her life with her reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Elordi). But now Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year.

She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend Lee (Courtney), and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez).

When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs.

Taylor Zakhar Perez is dishing on the audition process for The Kissing Booth 2!

The actor is stealing hearts across the world as Marco in the just released Netflix sequel.

Taylor recently opened up about auditioning for the movie, and how he didn’t even know how to play guitar beforehand.

“I was immediately spooked,” he told Glamour about the role. “In the casting breakdown it said, ‘Please submit professional singers and dancers. We would love to consider Eurovision or American Idol stars,’ or something like that.”

“I didn’t think I’d have time to learn a song or the choreography the way I wanted to,” Taylor added. “Plus, this role was for a guy who played guitar, and I have never played guitar in my life. I grew up playing piano.”

After he landed the role, he said, “It was like, ‘You start dance and guitar rehearsals next week!’ Did we ever. We practiced dancing for hours. Hours! I wish I could bold and italicize and put that in 150 font. That’s how much we practiced.”

Joel Courtney admits he was nervous to go back for The Kissing Booth 2!

The 24-year-old actors stars as Lee in the movies and he recently opened up about stepping back into the role.

“I’ve never been in the position where I’ve gotten to pick a role back up. I’ve never done like, a Season 1 of a TV show and then gone back for Season 2,” he told Elite Daily. “I remember actually being a little nervous to fail because there’s so many fans that love this character and this friendship.”

Joel then added that getting back to work with Joey King was just so easy and natural.

“Day 1 on the set with Joey for The Kissing Booth 2 [was] like, ‘Oh yeah, we’re back,’” he said. “It was like putting on your favorite jacket. It just like, slips right on and you know how to wear it.”
