Feel The Beat's Lidya Jewett & Timmy Failure's Winslow Fegley Cast In YA Movie 'Night Books'

Lidya Jewett and Winslow Fegley will be starring in a new Netflix movie together!

The young actors have been cast alongside Krysten Ritter in the film Night Books, based on horror-fantasy children’s book by J.A. White, Deadline reports.

Night Books “follows Alex (Fegley), a boy obsessed with scary stories, who is imprisoned by an evil young witch (Ritter) in her contemporary New York City apartment. He meets Yasmin (Jewett), who is also trapped there, and learns he must tell a new scary story every night in order to stay alive.”

Lidya has previously been in a Netflix movie when she played Kari in Feel The Beat with Sofia Carson. She can also be seen in Good Girls, which has the first two seasons streaming on Netflix.

Winslow is most known for starring in the Disney+ film Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made. He also co-starred in the Disney Channel show Fast Layne, and he appeared as a pre-teen Freddie Highmore in an episode of The Good Doctor.

Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made is getting ready to hit Disney+!

The entire cast of the upcoming film, including star Winslow Fegley, stepped out for the premiere on Thursday night (January 30) at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.

Attendees included Ophelia Lovibond, Kyle Bornheimer and Wallace Shawn as well as Santiago Veizaga, Ai-Chan Carrier, Chloe Coleman, Kei and Ruby Matenko.

The movie is based on the best-selling book of the same name, and follows the hilarious exploits of our quirky, deadpan hero, Timmy Failure, who, along with his 1,500-pound polar bear partner Total, operates Total Failure Inc., a Portland detective agency.

The trailer for Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made was just revealed and it looks so cute.

The film is based on the best-selling book of the same name, and follows the hilarious exploits of our quirky, deadpan hero, Timmy Failure, who, along with his 1,500-pound polar bear partner Total, operates Total Failure Inc., a Portland detective agency. An elementary school oddball, the clueless but confident Timmy (Winslow Fegley) must navigate the world of adults around him, including his overburdened mother (Ophelia Lovibond), her well-meaning boyfriend (Kyle Bornheimer), his teacher/nemesis (Wallace Shawn) and a school-mandated guidance counselor (Craig Robinson), all in his quest to become the best detective in the world.

Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made will screen in the kids section at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival later this month, and it will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, February 7th!

Disney Channel's 'Fast Layne' Gets New Trailer & Sneak Peek - Watch Now!

Disney Channel’s brand-new series Fast Layne is still a few weeks away from premiering, but new sneak peeks have arrived in the meantime!

In the comedy, 12-year-old over-achiever Layne (Sophie Pollono) finds her orderly life thrown into a tailspin when she discovers a sophisticated talking car named “V.I.N.” hidden in an abandoned shed.

With the help of her eccentric neighbor Zora (Sofia Rosinsky), Layne embarks on a high-speed adventure filled with secret agents and other surprises as the girls set out to unlock the mystery behind VIN’s creation.

When VIN needs some mechanical attention, Layne enlists the help of Cody (Brandon Rossel), a smart and charming boy who works in his Abuelo’s garage. Layne also navigates prodding questions from her younger cousin Mel (Winslow Fegley), a nosy survivalist-in-training who is determined to uncover her secret.

The show also stars Enid-Raye Adams and David Milchard.
