'DC's Stargirl' Casts These Actors To Play Eclipso & The Shade In Season 2!

DC’s Stargirl has found it’s Eclipso and The Shade!

It was just announced that Nick Tarabay (left) has been cast as Eclipso and Jonathan Cake (center) has been cast as The Shade for the upcoming second season, Deadline reveals.

Earlier this month, Stargirl showrunner Geoff Johns opened up about both of the villains at this year’s virtual New York Comic Con. See what he said here!.

Deadline also reports that Project Mc² actress Ysa Penarejo has also joined the cast as a recurring character. No word yet on who she will play.

In case you missed it, Geoff also recently shared that fans will get to see more of this character in season two!

“We do have so many other things to explore with these characters, and other avenues and other characters to meet and introduce, we’ll do it the best we can and we’ll do it at our own pace,” Geoff said. “But we’ll definitely be playing with things like the pink pen in season two.”

Jordyn Jones stuns in a chic gray dress while arriving at the Midnight Sun premiere held at Arclight Cinemas on Thursday night (March 15) in Hollywood.

The 18-year-old Overnights actress was joined by Landry Bender, Brec Bassinger, Jade Pettyjohn, and Project Mc2 stars Mika Abdalla and Ysa Penarejo.

Other stars who came out to the premiere include Meg Donnelly, Nia Sioux, Bryce Xavier, Emmy Buckner and fiance Max Chucker, Aubrey K. Miller, Sofia Wylie, Nikki Hahn and former Bunk’D stars Kevin Quinn, and Nina Lu.

FYI: Sofia wore an Alcoolique ensemble with Stuart Weitzman heels. Landry wore Club Monaco.

Black-ish's Marsai Martin Didn't Expect To Win An NAACP Award This Weekend

Marsai Martin shows off her award during the non-televised dinner for the 2018 NAACP Image Awards over the weekend in Pasadena, Calif.

The black-ish star was up for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy, and beat out Uzo Aduba, Tichina Arnold, Leslie Jones and Yvonne Orji for the honor.

“I had no idea I was gonna win this award. This one was a complete surprise and I was so discombobulated that I forgot to thank my blackish family,” Marsai wrote on Instagram after the event.

She added a thanks to the organization, who nominated her in that category despite her age: “Thank you for recognizing our show and for ‘seeing’ me…even though I’m a kid, you recognize me as an artist, an actress and that means everything. Thank you.”

Marsai was also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Youth, but that honor went to Stranger ThingsCaleb McLaughlin.

Free Rein‘s Jaylen Barron and Project Mc2 stars Mika Abdalla, Genneya Walton, Ysa Penarejo, and Victoria Vida were also at the event.

Project Mc² Cast Screens Season Three with Girl Scouts!

The girls of Project Mc² gather up for a cute selfie during a screening event earlier this month at the Netflix headquarters in Los Gatos, Calif.

The stars — Mika Abdalla, Victoria Vida, Genneya Walton, Ysa Penarejo, and Belle Shouse — met with several Brownie and Girl Scout troops at the event, promoting the new season and STEAM subjects and future careers are awesome.

Along with the cast, the Girl Scout attendees got to hear from female executives from Twitter, Instagram, Google and Intel who have found success in S.T.E.A.M. careers and engaged in two of Project Mc2 experiments: Volcano and Soda Can Robot; plus walked away with their own S.T.E.A.M. swag from the show.

The two actresses joined Genneya Walton, Belle Shouse, Alyssa Lynch, and Ysa Panerajo for the fun shoot, where they posed with each of their character dolls from the show.

If you don’t know, the series centers on McKeyla (Abdalla), Adrienne (Vida), Bryden (Walton), and Camryn (Penarejo) as they use their S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) skills to go undercover for NOV8, a top secret agency saving the world one science experiment at a time.
