Many fans were left quite upset at The Academy for not including Cameron Boyce and Luke Perry during the “In Memoriam” segment at the 2020 Oscars.
Both actors passed away suddenly last year, and Luke was even in one of this year’s nominated films, Once Upon a Time In… Hollywood.
“The Academy receives hundreds of requests to include loved ones and industry colleagues in the Oscars In Memoriam segment,” The Academy said in a statement to E! News. “An executive committee representing every branch considers the list and makes selections for the telecast based on limited available time. All the submissions are included on Oscar.com and will remain on the site throughout the year. Luke Perry and Cameron Boyce are remembered in the Oscar.com gallery.”
Eminem took the stage for a performance at the2020 Oscars at Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 9) in Hollywood.
The rapper’s appearance was a big surprise as he was not advertised to be in attendance.

While a lot of people were excited for the performance, there was some who were a little upset.
“Guys, I love Eminem but like, even the hip hop moment at the Oscars is white? I just… 🤷ðŸ½â€â™€ï¸,” Chrissie Fit wrote on her Twitter.
“Not a racist, Joey. Just VERY into equality and representation. The reason why that was uncomfortable to see is because POC are underrepresented at the Oscars and because of the origins of hip hop,” she added in response to someone’s reply to her. “Oh, and I’ll take your mean words as motivation! Thanks 😘”

The 24-year-old Little Women actor joined Natalie Portman to present the award for Writing – Adapted Screenplay.

The song “Into the Unknown” from Frozen 2 is nominated for Best Original Song at the 2020 Oscars and it was performance at the event on Sunday (February 9) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The original Elsa, Idina Menzel, was joined on stage by nine other actresses who voiced the role of Elsa in international versions of the Disney film.
Aurora, who provided the mysterious voice for the song, also joined them on stage.
“Into the Unknown” is nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars. The song “Let It Go” from the first movie won the Oscar six years ago!

Saoirse Ronan looks gorgeous while walking the red carpet at the 2020 Academy Awards on Sunday (February 9) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The 25-year-old actress is nominated for Best Actress for her work in the movie Little Women and this is the fourth time she has been nominated for an Oscar.
Saoirse was previously nominated for her work in the films Atonement, Brooklyn, and Lady Bird.
Little Women is up for six total awards this evening, including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay for writer Greta Gerwig.
