“I think it could be daunting if we were taking on the same [exact] roles in a different time, but we’re all different,” Sarah says. “I’m excited for the audience to get to know individually.”
The three also spoke about how they film with CGI monsters.
“Sometimes there’s a proxy that comes in and is a guide for the cameras and us to work it, but other times we don’t see anything at all. It’s using your imagination,” Sarah says.
Melonie added, “It was a learning curve.”
Sarah, Madeleine and Melonie are also pictured at 2018 New York Comic Con on Sunday afternoon (October 7).
Charmed premieres THIS SUNDAY, October 14th @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW.
It looks like the new Charmed series is taking even more notes from the original series.
Speaking with TVGuide, executive producers Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin both dished that one of the sisters will be getting a romance inspired by their favorite ‘ship of the OG show.
“There is a romance that’s inspired by our favorite romance from the original Charmed,” Jessica shared, adding that she really shouldn’t say anything about it. “I don’t know if I should say — I can’t, I can’t say!”
However, when you think about all the relationships in the original series – the main ones being Piper & Leo, and Phoebe & Cole – there are several to chose from.
But this romance for Maggie, played by Sarah Jeffery, seemed to nod towards Phoebe and Cole.
If you remember, Cole Turner was a half-demon, half-human sent to destroy the Charmed Ones, but instead, fell in love with Phoebe before things got insanely messy.
If this is the case, we can’t wait to watch the new series even more!
Charmed premieres Sunday, October 14 @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW.
If you’ve ever watched the original Charmed series, then you definitely know who Melinda Warren is – we mean, you must!
Melinda Warren was the OG witch, who penned the Book of Shadows, and whose descendants include the famed Halliwell sisters – and she’s featured in the brand new trailer for the new series.
If you’re a true Charmed fan, then you know that in one episode the Halliwells went back in time to actually meet Melinda, too.
Sarah Jeffery looks so cute on the red carpet while supporting her new series Charmed at The Paley Center’s PaleyFest Fall Preview event on Saturday (September 8) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The show’s co-executive producer Jessica O’Toole says that the show will take time to “organically show the women handling current issues, without lecturing the audience. Even before the election, we always wanted to explore that link between strong women and witchcraft.â€
Madeleine said the show is tackling these issues “because in this day and age you have to be upfront about which side you’re on,” according to Variety.
The new series, the estranged sisters come back together after their mother’s shocking death.
With the emotions of all three sisters running high, each of the girls suddenly exhibit impossible new abilities and all are equally as shocked to find out that they’re actually powerful witches, just like their mother. Now, as their new destiny as The Charmed Ones, they set out to find who killed their mother.
Charmed will premiere on October 14th @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW.
