Grant Gustin Suits Up As The Flash After Pregnancy Announcement!

We FINALLY have photos of Grant Gustin on the set of The Flash!

The 31-year-old star of the series was spotted in his Flash costume, a beanie and a mask during a break on Wednesday (February 17) in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Grant was also joined on set by an interesting looking character, with a purple face and costume. We’re not quite sure who the character is supposed to be. One fan on Twitter has an idea on a possible ID.

“This character seems to have a bigger role in this season of #TheFlash than just one episode…” user Pagey wrote. “Not sure EXACTLY who is meant to be. But based around some of the scenes they’ve been involved in which include character having “Nightmares”…He could be a take on Screaming Skull?”

This is actually the first time that we’ve seen Grant on set and in costume this season. We’ve previously seen Candice Patton and Victoria Park on set filming back in October.

These photos also come just a week after Grant and his wife LA announced that they were expecting their first baby!

The trailer for the upcoming seventh season of The Flash has finally arrived!

In the trailer, Barry (Grant Gustin) is in a race against time to save Iris (Candice Patton) from the mirrorverse.

The new season of The Flash will of course wrap up the end of season six before moving on with the next story.

Most notably, the character Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man will not be in the new season as actor Hartley Sawyer was fired from the series last summer. Find out what they’re going to do to the character…

The upcoming season is also going to be a little different for Jesse L Martin‘s Joe West. His storyline has “been inspired by the societal changes happening in today’s world,” showrunner Eric Wallace previously revealed.

The Flash season seven will premiere on March 2nd, after being pushed a week due to Superman & Lois.

The video was unveiled during the show’s panel at the DC FanDome event on Saturday (August 22).

Candace Patton‘s Iris West is getting haunted in the Mirrorverse, with Barry doing anything he can to help her.

“It’ll be interesting to see when she comes out — and I believe she’ll come out very soon — how she has been affected by being stuck in this maddening world with this maddening villain,” Candace said during the panel.

Showrunner Eric Wallace shared that in the trailer, “even though it’s only footage really from one episode, pay attention to the way it’s presented. It’s actually huge spoilers all over the place.”

The footage in the trailer is mostly from season six, episode 20, which was 85% filmed before the pandemic.

Ashley Rickards is returning as the villain Top, and Brandon McKnight and Kayla Compton have been promoted to series regulars for the season.

Could Grant Gustin Be In 'The Flash' Movie, CW's 'Flash' Showrunner Says...

Could Grant Gustin Be In 'The Flash' Movie, CW's 'Flash' Showrunner Says...

Grant Gustin might have a chance at bringing his version of The Flash to the big screen!

The showrunner for his CW series, Eric Wallace, talked about the possibility of the 30-year-old Arrowverse star appearing in the upcoming Flash movie.

“I am so excited about The Flash movie. I literally will be the first person in line to go see it. I love all things of The Flash, all different iterations of The Flash,” Eric said during DC Fandome on Saturday (August 22). “Obviously in my heart of hearts, Grant is my favorite Flash because that’s my show, you know? But it was such an honor and a privilege to have Ezra [Miller] come play in our Arrowverse, even though it was only that one scene, and Grant and Ezra got along so well. There was definitely a camaraderie there and a mutual respect for each other as performers, because they’re very, very different, right? They’re very different people. But they are both so, so gifted and talented. So yes, I can’t wait to see this movie.”

He then said he’ll give Grant time off from the TV show to go film for the movie…

“I would love to see Grant appear somewhere in their version of the film,” Eric said. “Say I said, ‘You know what? I’ll give you a couple of weeks off easy now.’ I don’t know if they’ll do that, but I’m putting it out there. Because I know Grant would be excited. I think he would have some fun.”

“I also told Ezra, with open arms, we would welcome him back. I would love to have him back for longer, for a full episode of The Flash, if we can somehow make it happen,” he added. “Schedules are so tough. He’s a very busy man. He has not just The Flash franchise, but other franchises too. So I don’t know how possible it is, but I do know it’s not impossible because we proved it in Crisis when we saw the two Flashes together. So I’m going to be hopeful and I’m going to put that energy out there.”

“Hopefully someday sooner, rather than later, we will see those two Flashes of Ezra and Grant together and for anybody reading this article, I am happy to help accommodate in any way possible.”

Ezra and Grant of course first shared the screen as their own Flashes during the massive Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, and with DC diving into the multiverse for the film franchise, it could possible for Grant to join in. There has even been talk of him making an appearance in the upcoming film back in February!

Grant Gustin Reacts To Co-Star Hartley Sawyer's Tweets & Firing: 'I Was Shocked'

Grant Gustin is speaking out following the news that his The Flash co-star Hartley Sawyer has been fired from the show.

The 30-year-old star of the show shared a note on Instagram that was written by the showrunner, Eric Wallace, and added his own thoughts.

“I don’t have much to add because Eric’s thoughts are stated so eloquently and powerfully. I will say I was shocked, saddened and angry when I saw the tweets. Words matter,” Grant wrote.

It was announced earlier in the day that The CW and The Flash execs had decided to fire Hartley in regards to offensive tweets that resurfaced over the last couple of weeks.

“I, too, am committed to bringing permanent change to the work environment here on THE FLASH. Yes, this is a family show. But it’s for all families,” Eric says in his letter. “That includes Black and Brown ones. In order to facilitate this, I will continued to find Black and Brown writers, directors, actors and producers of all genders to help tell FLASH stories.”
