Grant Gustin is opening up about his mental health struggles.
The 30-year-old The Flash actor went on the Inside of You podcast and dished about struggling with anxiety and depression for almost his entire life.
“I knew I had always dealt with anxiety, but getting pinpointed ideas about where things started and why you were feeling that way,†Grant said. “Anxiety is ever-present in my life, for sure.â€
“I’ve come a long way with taking a little pressure off myself,” he continued. “I’ve always been really hard on myself and I still am, but I put way too much pressure on myself early on and got in my way a lot and I think it shows, in my opinion at least, in the work, like how wound up I was and how focused I was on getting it right. It gets in your way for sure.â€

It was just announced that the 30-year-old The Flash star will play Barry Keenan in Operation Blue Eyes, Deadline reports.
Barry is the infamous businessman who orchestrated the kidnapping of Frank Sinatra, Jr in 1963.
“I’ve decided to only play characters named Barry,” Grant joked on his Instagram Story.
Operation Blue Eyes “takes place in December of 1963 when Frank Sinatra Jr. is a struggling lounge singer, deep in his father’s shadow. A young wannabe stock tycoon Barry Keenan, with an ex-wife, alimony payments, a pill-addicted mother, and a similar monkey on his own back (the result of a car crash), comes up with a harebrained scheme to kidnap Junior and hold him for $240,000, ransom, chaos ensues.
Barry succeeds in stealing Junior at gunpoint but after that, it’s one badly improvised move after another, until Barry bungles his way into prison.
Barry was eventually sentenced to life in prison but only served four and a half years before being released.”

In “Death of the Speed Force”, Kid Flash returns to Central City with a Zen attitude and new tricks up his sleeve.
While thrilled to see his family again, Wally confides to Barry (Grant Gustin) that he returned because he thinks there is something wrong with the speed force.
Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) returns from his fact-finding mission across Earth-Prime.
“The homie @keiynanlonsdale is back tonight as Kid Flash. I had so much fun with Keiynan on this one. Feels like we shot this forever ago. Directed by a member of the family, @brentcrowell1971,” Grant wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of the two.
Grant took to his Instagram to share a photo of the tat, which is on his inner bicep.
“This one is special. I have been wanting a portrait of my best bud, Jett for a long while now. We’ve been through a lot together and now he can be with me always. Thank you for this perfect piece, @_dr_woo_ You’re a legend. #JettLife,” Grant wrote.
Rumor has it Grant Gustin could be making a cameo in the Flash movie!
During the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover, Ezra Miller made a shocking appearance as his version of The Flash from the DC/Warner Bros movie world.
That moment was very last minute, EP Marc Guggenheimrevealed. He said that Warner Bros had called and asked if Ezra‘s Flash could be added into the crossover, after the series was wrapped.
Now, sources are saying that Warner Bros is interested in having Grant involved in the movie version in some way.

It was a huge moment on the Arrowverse’s Crisis on Infinite Earths last night!
Grant Gustin, who plays The Flash for The CW came face-to-face with Ezra Miller, who plays The Flash for the DC Universe movies! The characters were both in costume as the superhero when they met on screen.
“Is this cosplay? Do you want a selfie, bro?†Miller/Barry asked Gustin/Barry.
“This shouldn’t be possible now,†said Gustin/Barry. At this point, Ezra began to fade away.
Grant later posted about the cameo on Instagram, writing, “How about that? Ezra is one of a kind. So glad we could make this happen and keep it a secret until today. Thank you to @dccomics”
Supergirl‘s Melissa Benoist wrote in the comments, “YOU KEPT THIS SECRET SO WELL. NONE of us knew!!!! Or did they know?! Was I the only one that didn’t know?!”
