Niki and Gabi DeMartino team up for the red carpet while attending the GUESS Celebrates 35 Years with Opening of Exhibition at FIDM Museum & Galleries on the Park on Monday evening (June 5) in Los Angeles.
Niki and Gabi recently shared the last episode of their AwesomenessTV series Niki & Gabi’s Spring Break, which followed them to their hometown where they spent time off with their best friends.

The black-ish starlet was honored last night at the 2017 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards with the Generation Next Award, and it looks like all of her family was there to celebrate.
“I’m fortunate,” Yara shared in her speech after her TV mom Tracee Ellis Ross presented to her. “Because you all have taught me by example what the role of the artist is: to disrupt, to remold and to create.”

On keeping her dating life mum: “Over time, I’ve learned to keep my dating life from being too public. The word itself—dating—should be reason enough. When you’re dating, you’re getting to know people. In that process, relationships will flourish and fail. You already have to deal with the beauty and the pain on your own for a time. Extending that to the public creates the potential to lengthen a painful breakup. It’s also not my prerogative to have multiple partners attached to me in the public eye forever. I’m very picky about who I allow into my world, but you still won’t catch me parading my relationships on social media or around town for the aforementioned reasons.:
On being one of those people with a million hobbies: “Well I’m not actually acting 24/7, so I do have time to be doing other things occasionally. I’ve recently rediscovered a love for reading. I’m intrigued by philosophy studies as well as poetics. I am currently studying French. I would love to be an interior designer, house flipper, creative head of an advertising agency, or maybe run my own business. I have an affliction for American homelessness as well as a passion for the development of confidence and future planning of young women. I’m young myself, and open to life’s possibilities. Who’s to say I won’t eventually pursue one or all of those things?”
On taking on the role of Samantha in Netflix’s Dear White People: “Becoming Samantha will challenge me to create a character who wears many masks. She is fighting for and struggling with the one thing she cannot take off: her color. Currently I’m engulfed in a part of my preparation where I’m researching the history of colorism and African civilization. I believe the biggest challenge will be in the eyes of the viewer of every race, to embrace this social satire as entertainment, art, and a necessity.”

Logan Browning keeps it classic and simple on the red carpet for opening night of Cabaret held at Pantages Theatre on Wednesday night (July 20) in Hollywood.
It was just announced that Logan will take over the role of Samantha White in the Dear White People TV series. The role was originally played by Tessa Thompson in the 2014 film.
The Netflix series, which will be 10 episodes long, centers on a diverse group of students of color as they navigate a predominantly white Ivy League college where racial tensions are often swept under the rug.

Olesya Rulin goes sheer on the red carpet for the season two premiere event of Powers held at ArcLight Cinemas on Thursday night (May 26) in Culver City, Calif.
Powers, is based off the graphic novel series of the same name, and follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward), who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with extraordinary abilities, referred to as “Powers.”
In season two, we see that Detective Walker is obsessed with solving the murder of beloved hero, Retro Girl, with the help of his partner Deena.
The series returns May 31st, with the first three episodes of the season available at 12:01PM PT/9AM ET.
