“Here is a snippet from one of the first two songs I’m going to release (lyrics by me music by Jesse Harris) and preview of the cover for this A side/B side single,” Maya wrote. “They will be released on August 16th and I’m playing a show to celebrate at the Sultan Room in Williamsburg on August 21st. “To Love a Boy” and “Stay Open” will mark Maya‘s music debut, and her full-length album debut is coming later this year.
“This is a passion project for me; I have loved singing, writing lyrics and music since I can remember,” Maya Hawke said in a statement. “For the last two years, Jesse and I have worked on these songs, and we are really excited to finally share them with an audience.”

The Stranger Things star opened up to the glossy about her character, Robin’s, coming out, dropping out of school and much more.
On her Stranger Things character coming out: “Throughout filming, we started to feel like she and Joe shouldn’t get together, and that she’s gay. Even when I go back and watch earlier episodes, it just seems like the most obvious decision ever.â€
On what she did to celebrate her 21st birthday: “I was in upstate New York, which is where I grew up [spending] weekends, and I had six or seven friends out at my house out there with my mom. We just cooked dinner from food we grow out in the garden.â€
On dropping out of school for Little Women: “I’ve loved Little Women since I was a little girl. I always struggled with reading and writing but I loved storytelling, and Jo’s storytelling drive was inspiring to me, and her work ethic was inspiring to me, and I loved her. I fell in love with her. I’ve always wanted to play her. And now it seems like they make Little Women every other year, but I didn’t know that that opportunity would ever come around again, and I had to take it.â€

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore.
The film hits theaters on July 26th.

Natalia Dyer is all smiles during her interview with Jenny McCarthy on her SiriusXM show in New York City on Monday (July 8).
The 22-year-old actress was joined by co-star Maya Hawke as they chatted about the new season of Stranger Things.
During the interview, Natalia and Maya also opened up about her future career goals, where Maya explained why she only wants to work with “geeks”.
“What I mean by that, is people who love what they do,” Maya shared. “In every industry there are people who love what they do and people who do it for other reasons. I want to work with people who love what they do.

A video released by the Netflix show shows a new mall, Starcourt, coming to the town of Hawkins, Indiana! The vid teases a whole bunch of new stores open for guests to enjoy like Claire’s, Zales, and eating options like a food court.
We then see that Steve (played in the show by actor Joe Keery) has a job at a scoop shop with new character Robin (played by Maya Hawke).
The co-stars looked deep in conversation as they walked to and from set on Friday (May 18) in Duluth, Ga.
Joe wore a green camo t-shirt with blue and white shorts, matching shoes, long white socks, and a pair of shades, and Maya sported a white tee with blue jeans and white sneakers. At one point, Joe had on a blue jacket to protect his costume.
A vintage Honda motorcycle was also seen parked outside the set.
