Austin Butler lets his long hair hang loose while suiting up for the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (August 30) in Los Angeles.
The 24-year-old actor was joined on the carpet by Significant Mother‘s Nathaniel Buzolic, Faking It‘s Bailey De Young, and Awkward‘s Beau Mirchoff.

The show follows budding Portland restaurateur Nate (Josh Zuckerman), whose world is turned upside down when he comes back from a business trip to find his lothario best friend and roommate, Jimmy (Buzolic), is now dating his recently separated mother, Lydia (Krista Allen).
To make matters worse, Nate’s previously disinterested dad, Harrison (Jonathan Silverman) is now determined to win Lydia back and isn’t afraid to use Nate to get what he wants.
Stuck between his family feud and his best friend’s first serious relationship, Nate’s “new normal” forever changes his relationships with his parents, and severely handicaps his own dating life.

We are so excited because Nathaniel Buzolic is headed back to television!
According to EW, the 31-year-old Vampire Diaries and Originals alum has been cast in the upcoming comedy Significant Mother from The CW and Alloy Entertainment.
The show follows a Portland restauranteur named Nate (Josh Zuckerman), who has his whole world turned upside down when he finds out that his best friend is dating his newly separated mother (Krista Allen). Nate played the best friend, Jimmy.
“A home brewmaster and part-time bartender, Jimmy Barnes is a carefree optimist who leads with his heart, followed a while later by his head. And while he has always been loved by the ladies, his new relationship with his best friend’s mom may turn him into a one-woman kind of guy.”
It sounds like Jimmy could run into some issues when Nate’s father (Jonathan Silverman) later decides that he wants to win his wife back.
Significant Mother is set to premiere on Monday, August 3 @ 9:30PM on The CW!
