Aimee Carrero & Shane Paul McGhie Added To 'The Boys' Spinoff Cast!

Aimee Carrero is heading back to television in the upcoming The Boys spinoff at Prime Video!

The Young & Hungry actress will be joined by Shane Paul McGhie and Maddie Phillips as well, Deadline reveals.

The trio will play young superheroes in the spinoff “set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (and run by Vought International). It is described as an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys.”

If you missed it, these actresses were also recently announced to be joining the show!

While Aimee has had recurring roles on Blindspot and The Village, this will be her first regular role on a live action TV show since Young & Hungry ended.

Just last summer, Aimee said goodbye to one of her other shows, after four years.

Jaz Sinclair Joins 'The Boys' Spinoff at Prime Video!

Jaz Sinclair has just landed a new role!

The 26-year-old Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actress and singer will star in the upcoming The Boys spinoff series on Prime Video, Deadline reveals.

Jaz will play the young superhero Marie, alongside also recently announced Lizze Broadway, who will play Emma.

“Manifestation is real kids. Are you freaking kidding me!!!!!!! Literally a dream come true!!!! I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of this project and I have never been more excited about playing a character ever. She is indeed a badass and that’s all I’m gonna say about that 🦹🏽‍♀️ I’ve got a heart full of thank you’s and a belly full of butterflies. (Insert happy dance here💃🏾)” Jaz shared on Instagram.

“Oh my god! So grateful to be a part of this universe!!!! #theboysspinoff,” Lizze shared on Instagram with the news.

According to Variety, the spinoff will be “set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (and run by Vought International), the untitled series is described as an irreverent, R-rated show that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.”

You may know Lizze from a number of guest starring roles on shows such as The Rookie, Henry Danger, Here and Now, NCIS, and most recently in the movie American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules.

Jaz has also been working on her budding music career under the name Jasimi. She released her debut single “Dosey Doe” back in November, and dropped her second song in January, “Doing Great.”

Spencer Sutherland Joins Madison Iseman In 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' Series

Spencer Sutherland has landed a new acting gig!

The 28-year-old musician has joined the cast of the upcoming Prime Video series I Know What You Did Last Summer in a recurring arc, Deadline reveals.

The upcoming series is of course based off of the movie of the same name. Here’s a synopsis: In a town full of secrets, a group of teenagers are stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night.

“I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER is one of my favorite horror movies, now I get to be in the SHOW! Thanks @amazonstudios & @sonypictures ❤️❤️❤️🥺,” Spencer shared with the news on Instagram.

I Know What You Did Last Summer stars Madison Iseman, who is believed to be the series lead, as well as Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman and more. See the full cast here.

Filming is currently underway in Hawaii.

This casting comes just after Spencer recently filmed his feature film debut alongside Victoria Justice and Midori Francis in Netflix’s upcoming movie Afterlife of the Party!

'To All The Boys' Author Jenny Han Lands New Series Adaptation at Prime Video

Jenny Han is bringing another one of her book series to the screen!

The To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before author’s “The Summer I Turned Pretty” trilogy is being made into a TV series at Prime Video, Variety reveals.

The series is “a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer.”

The Summer I Turned Pretty is many years in the making, and I’m so excited to tell Belly’s story in 2021,” Jenny said in a statement. “For the longtime book fans, I think it will have been worth the wait. For those newly discovering the Summer series, I hope you fall in love with these characters and this place that is so dear to my heart.”

Jenny wrote the pilot, will executive produce and serve as co-showrunner on the eight-episode series.

Robbie Amell & His Co-Stars Begin Filming Season 2 of 'Upload'!

Robbie Amell has an amazing update for fans of his Prime Video series Upload!

The 32-year-old actor, who stars as Nathan Brown, shared on Instagram that filming on the second season has begun.

“Upload Season 2. Day 1,” he captioned a photo with his co-stars.

Also back for season two are Andy Allo as Nora, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha and Owen Daniels as AI Guy.

“YOU ASKED FOR IT!!! Upload Season 2. Day 1,” Zainab captioned the pic on her account.

“Day One of Week One of Episode One of Season 2! @uploadonprime,” Allegra added on hers.

Upload premiered during the pandemic in May 2020 and was such a big hit that it was renewed for season two a week later.

The series follows a young app developer, Nathan Brown, who winds up in the hospital following a self-driving car accident, needing to quickly decide his fate. After a rushed deliberation with his shallow girlfriend Ingrid, he chooses to be uploaded to her family’s luxurious virtual afterlife, the Horizen company’s “Lakeview.”

Once uploaded in Lakeview, Nathan meets his customer service “Angel” Nora Anthony, who at first is his charismatic concierge and guide, but quickly becomes his friend and confidante, helping him navigate this new digital extension of life.

All ten episodes of Upload‘s first season are available to stream on Prime Video. Can’t wait for season two!

The trailer for The Map of Tiny Perfect Things just dropped on Tuesday morning (January 27)!

The upcoming movie stars Kathryn Newton and Kyle Allen as they get trapped in a time loop and relive the same day over and over.

Here’s a synopsis: Quick-witted teen Mark is contentedly living the same day in an endless loop when his world is turned upside-down as he meets mysterious Margaret, who is also stuck in the time loop. Mark and Margaret form a magnetic partnership, setting out to find all the tiny things that make that one day perfect. What follows is a love story with a fantastical twist, as the two struggle to figure out how – and whether – to escape their never-ending day.

Jermaine Harris also stars in the movie as Henry. The film, based on the short story of the same name by Lev Grossman, is directed by Ian Samuels.

The Map of Tiny Perfect Things will premiere on February 12th on Prime Video!

The 23-year-old actress is starring as Margaret in the movie for Prime Video, alongside Kyle Allen as Mark.
