We caught up with the actor, who was recently – SPOILER ALERT! – killed off ABC Family’s Chasing Life.
But luckily, Scott stars in the brand new ABC drama Blood & Oil, which premieres TONIGHT, September 27 @ 9/8c. We can’t wait to watch!
Scott talked to us about Leo’s demise on Chasing Life, as well as what we can expect from his “bad boy” character on Blood & Oil. Check it:
JustJaredJr.com: When did you find out Leo’s story was coming to an end and what was your reaction?
Scott Michael Foster: I knew at the beginning of the season that the plan was to bring Leo’s story to an end. It was tough because the show was an amazing experience and everyone in the cast was so lovely to work with but it was time to move on.
JJJ: Knowing ahead of time, did that impact the way you approached the last few episodes in any way?
SMF: No, not really. I just played it one episode at a time.

Consider JJJ in mourning after last night’s (August 17) episode of Chasing Life.
Just as they were adjusting to married life, April (Italia Ricci) got the shock of her life as she found that her new husband Leo (Scott Michael Foster) unexpectedly died in his sleep.
And sadly, it looks like this one’s going to stick because Scott took to Twitter to thank fans for all the support over these last few seasons.
“It’s rare to have so much fun and learn quite a bit from playing a character. Thanks for watching?? #RIP #ChasingLife,” he wrote.
In case you don’t already know, Scott has a new role in ABC’s new drama Blood and Oil.
WHAT DID YOU THINK of Leo’s death on Chasing Life?
In “As Long As We Both Shall Live”, The honeymoon may be over for April and Leo as they try to settle into a normal married life. April’s “cleaning system” versus Leo’s mess is not the only issues they have to work on.
Leo is in full swing at his new job and is making lots of plans for the future – not just in his job but for his life with his new wife. April is trying to live life to the fullest in the moment, as Leo taught her, so Leo’s “new” future planning is throwing her off.
Meanwhile, Brenna (Haley Ramm) doesn’t feel as welcome or supported at her new school’s LGBQT club.
“As Long As We Both Shall Live” airs TONIGHT, Monday, August 17th @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC Family. 15+ pics inside…
In “The Last W”, all the planning is done and the day is finally here – the day April Carver marries Leo Hendrie (Scott Michael Foster).
What should be the most perfect day of April’s life takes a bumpy detour as nerves and secrets threaten to ruin everything. Can Leo and April’s love triumph or was this a “pity” wedding after all?
Meanwhile, Dominic (Richard Brancatisano) struggles with what to do as the deadline nears of losing the woman he loves forever.
“The Last W” airs TONIGHT, Monday, August 10th @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC Family.
