Andrew most recently played Peter Parker/Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2012 and 2014. Tobey famously brought Spider-Man and Peter Parker to life in his early 2000s Spider-Man trilogy.
While Andrew and Tobey‘s casting is just a rumor with no official confirmation, it is to be noted that other characters from their movies are set to appear in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 with the MCU.
Back in July, JK Simmons, who portrayed J. Jonah Jameson in Tobey‘s Spider-Man series, said that he would appear in a Spider-Man movie yet again, after surprising fans in the end credits of Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man: Far From Home.
This would mark a historic moment for a live action Spider-Verse film. We previously got multiple Spider-Mans in the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
