The 23-year-old Olympic bronze medalist arrived at the event with older brother/skating partner Alex, and Mirai Nagasu.
Maia and Alex are actually nominated for the Winter Wonders award, which recognizes elite winter athletes for their unparalleled strength, grace and agility.
Mirai is up for Don’t Try This At Home, which honors athletes who “risk their lives and limbs every day to accomplish the impossible.”
The 2018 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports Awards, hosted by Houston Rockets’ point guard Chris Paul, airs Friday, July 20st @ 8PM ET/PT on Nickelodeon.

“So very saddened by the loss of this special young man,” Meryl wrote on Twitter. “Denis, your heart, passion, kindness & generosity will not be forgotten. My thoughts are with your family, friends & fans whose lives you’ve made brighter. What a devastating loss for our skating family.”
Gracie added on her Instagram, “I am absolutely heartbroken today. The world has lost a kind, brilliant, and talented hero. Some of my fondest memories of skating come from the years I trained with Denis. From late night photo shoots to daily locker room shenanigans, Denis always knew how to make you smile. You will be so missed Denis.”

Alex snapped a selfie with Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Turtles costumed characters at Nickelodeon’s booth, and they both tried out the Double Dare obstacle course.
Meryl Davis keeps it classy in a chic blue dress at the Figure Skating in Harlem’s Champions in Life Benefit Gala event held at Chelsea Piers in New York City on Tuesday night (May 1).
The 31-year-old Olympic skater took a break from the Stars on Ice tour for the event which honored the medal-winning 2018 US Olympic Figure Skating Team.
Meryl recently opened up to ESPN about Mirai Nagasu and Adam Rippon being on Dancing With The Stars this season and she’s 100% rooting for them.
“I’m on the road [for the 'Stars on Ice' tour] with Mirai Nagasu and Adam Rippon and know they’re both very hard at work,” she shared. “I predict it’ll be one of them at the top.”

Alex and Maia Shibutani have announced that they plan to take the upcoming competitive season off.
While we won’t be seeing the sibling duo on the ice competitively, the two-time Olympic bronze medalists are still on the ice for the Stars on Ice tour.
They also aren’t ruling out returning to competition in the 2019-2020 season.
“Our experience at the Olympic Games was the result of four years of relentless training and dedication,†Maia shared in their statement (via TeamUSA).
“While we are still young and love competing and performing, we have exciting projects that we have the opportunity to work on both together and individually.â€
Alex adds, “We are currently touring with Stars on Ice and have plans to skate, train, and create new programs for shows we will be skating in throughout the year.”
He also sent thanks to their fans: “The support we have received from everyone around the world has been amazing and we are so grateful. We are incredibly excited about our new projects and opportunities and look forward to sharing them with everyone soon.â€
Maia and Alex were also just signed to UTA for future endeavors.
