The cast of the upcoming fourth and final season of 13 Reasons Why are starring in these new cast portraits!
The new photos feature the stars in their characters’ yearbook photos, with quite a few phrases on them, include some very questionable things that allude to the new season.
The most popular phrase on the pics is “I Know You Framed Monty”.
Here’s a description of the last season: “As Liberty High School’s class prepares for graduation, they are forced to make life-changing and heartbreaking choices about how their past will impact their future.”
Christian Navarro (Tony Padilla) wrote, “Playing this character has made me a better man. It’s allowed me the great honor of representing people who may feel unheard, unwanted, and unloved. Be kind, and be brave.†He also parted ways with Tony’s car.
If you forgot, the 28-year-old 13 Reasons Why actor sent in audition tapes for the lead role, which he ultimately did not land.
After the news of Jonah‘s casting was announced, Christian returned to Twitter briefly to share his thoughts, before deleting his account again. He also echoed his statement on his Instagram story.
“Just came back to say; after months of seeing every person of color they could think of for the role of Prince Eric, @DisneyStudios somehow still cast a white guy,” he wrote on Twitter. “I guess diversity is just a word. And THATS Hollywood. One brown person is enough, two brown leads is unthinkable.”
“Literally @disney saw a who’s who list of actors of color and STILL went with the white guy. So much for diversity. I guess two brown leads would have tanked the movie right? Boring,” he wrote on Instagram.
Christian Navarro, who you may recognize from his role in 13 Reasons Why, revealed that Disney contacted him to send in audition tapes for Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid!
Back when everyone found out that Harry Styles had passed on the role of Prince Eric, Christian tweeted out, “So I heard Harry Styles passed on Prince Eric, well…I can sing. Black Ariel/Latino Prince…no ones called but Season 3 drops next week and I think it’s one hell of an audition.”
Well, on Tuesday (September 3), Christian posted an update, writing, “Idk what happened to the other tweet. But! @disney saw this, saw your support, and gave my team a call. They wanted to see what I could do. Tapes sent. Fingers crossed. Let’s make some history.”
Chloe x Halle‘s Halle Bailey is set to take on the role of Ariel in the live action movie.
“Queer Eye For The Straight Guy right now. It just came out, I’ve been binge watching that and crying,” Christian said. He even tweeted about it recently, saying, “Just watched the first episode of season two of @QueerEye on #Netflix I was in a puddle of my own tears.
