Disney+ Officially Greenlights 'Beauty & The Beast' Musical Prequel Series With Josh Gad & Luke Evans

A Beauty and the Beast prequel series is officially a GO at Disney+!

Josh Gad and Luke Evans are both set to reprise their roles as LeFou (Louie) and Gaston.

The upcoming eight episode, limited series is also developed, executive-produced and written by Josh, along with Once Upon a Time creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. They will all also serve as co-showrunners.

Luke Evans Joins Tom Hanks In Live Action 'Pinocchio'

Luke Evans is coming back to Disney!

The 41-year-old actor has joined the cast of the upcoming live action version of Pinocchio, Deadline reports.

“I cannot wait to start!!!!” he excitedly tweeted with the announcement.

He will star as The Coachman, alongside Tom Hanks, who is playing Geppetto. Robert Zemeckis is attached as director, and the film is set to debut on Disney+!

The Coachman is one of many antagonists in the story and is notorious for luring “stupid little boys” to Pleasure Island, where they are transformed into donkeys and sold on the black market.

Luke and Tom are of course no strangers to the Disney family, with Luke first starring as Gaston in the live action Beauty and the Beast. Tom has been in numerous Disney films and shows, including Saving Mr Banks, Big City Greens, Cars and of course his most famous role of Toy Story‘s Woody.

If you didn’t know, Luke is also set to reprise Gaston in a Beauty and the Beast prequel series, along with Josh Gad as Le Fou.

Dakota Fanning steps out to bring her show The Alienist to the Emmy For Your Consideration Event on Wednesday (May 23) at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 24-year-old actress looked pretty in a baby blue dress and black strappy sandals as she joined her hot co-stars Luke Evans and Daniel Bruhl at the event.

Dakota Fanning Joins 'The Alienist' Cast at Turner Upfronts

Dakota Fanning represented The Alienist at theTurner Upfronts!

The 24-year-old actress stepped out at the event as part of 2018 Upfronts week on Wednesday (May 16) at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

She was also joined by her cast mates Luke Evans and Daniel Bruhl.

“I’ve always wanted to make sure that the characters I’m playing have an equal voice to their male counterparts and to play complicated women. I think that’s always been important to me, a no-brainer to me, I was raised to feel empowered,” Dakota said of her role in the show ahead of the event.

Also in attendance was Daniel Radcliffe, who was representing his TNT series Miracle Workers.

Dakota Fanning's Sister Elle Supports Her at Sundance 2018!

Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning are so supportive of each other, so it’s no surprise to see them at each other’s premieres!

The sisters were both in attendance at the premiere of Dakota‘s show The Alienist held during the 2017 Sundance Film Festival on Friday (January 20) in Park City, Utah.

Dakota was also joined by her co-stars Daniel Bruhl and Luke Evans, who you probably recognize from Beauty and the Beast.
