The Princess Switch actress turns 31 years old today (December 14), and she got the best birthday surprise ever from her younger sister Stella Hudgens.

“OMG LITERALLY THE BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER,” Vanessa captioned the Instagram video below. “My sister @stellahudgens popped out of a box in a foreign country to surprise me for my birthday. I. Could. Not. Be more. Thrilled. 😝🍾 happy birthdayyyyy to meeeeee ❤️ thank you @netflix.”

“That time I flew to a different country and then hid in a box to surprise @vanessahudgens 🤗🤗🤗🤗,” Stella Hudgens added. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE!!! I love you more than words can describe ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

The High School Musical co-stars stopped by a pal’s home to enjoy dinner together and it looked like the group had a blast!

The Girl Meets World star and the The Hate U Give actress joined forces at the event, presented by Amazon Studios, on Saturday (July 14) in Los Angeles.

They were joined by 13 Reasons Why‘s Tommy Dorfman, Ava Phillippe, her brother Deacon Phillippe, Stella Hudgens, and more.

The Weeknd (not pictured) was also in attendance to catch the screening after checking out DJ Myles Hendrik’s set. The whole group was on their feet and singing when he played Guns N’ Roses’ classic “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

The Knight Squad actress was joined by her sister Deven, Famous In Love‘s Niki Koss, with boyfriend Sterling Beaumon, Shenae Grimes Beech and husband Josh, and Stella Hudgens, with boyfriend Eric Unger.

Before her night was over, Vanessa share another shot of herself cuddled up with her adorable pooch Darla.

The two Riverdale stars joined Demi Lovato, Kat Graham, Peyton List, Stella Hudgens, Lily Collins, Yara Shahidi, Chloe x Halle, Nick Robinson, Bea Miller, Cody Simpson, Sydney Park, and Pyper America Smith inside the party

Speaking with Cosmopolitan recently, Vanessa opened up about rocking Toni Topaz’s bubblegum pink hair and revealed she had a hand in making it even pinker!

“It was originally going to be pink clip-ins that they would have ready for me on set,” she says. “But I really wanted to [use] the wash out.”

“I do a wash out that lasts like, eight washes. They do that every week-and-a-half to two weeks,” Vanessa says.

And she liked the color so much, that she “asked if they could do more pink, and they said yes, and I’ve been getting pinker and pinker.”
