Scooby-Doo Origin Story 'Scoob!' Gets Final Trailer

There’s a brand new trailer for the upcoming Scoob!

The new movie is the latest in the Scooby-Doo universe, and gives a little backstory on the gang.

Scoob! reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc.

Now, with hundreds of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world.

As they race to stop this global “dogpocalypse,” the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.

Scoob!, which hits theaters on May 15th, stars the voices of Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo, Will Forte as Shaggy, Zac Efron as Fred, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, Kiersey Clemons as Dee Dee, Jason Isaacs as Dick Dastardly, Ken Jeong as Dynomutt, Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman, and Mark Wahlberg as Blue Falcon. It also features the voices of Ariana Greenblatt as Young Velma, Iain Armitage as Young Shaggy, Pierce Gagnon as Young Fred, and McKenna Grace as Young Daphne.

Dove Cameron knows exactly who her celebrity twin is!

The 23-year-old actress took to Twitter to reply to fans who pointed out that Mean Girls actress Amanda Seyfried looks exactly like a grown up version of Dove!

“i’ve heard this for years . i should be so lucky @AmandaSeyfried,” Dove wrote in response to a fan who tweeted a picture of Amanda with the message, “wbk. Amanda is Dove’s mother.”

Some fans even called for Dove to play a younger version of Amanda (or her character’s daughter) in Mamma Mia 3 (which hasn’t actually been announced, but which fans of the franchise desperately want to see happen).

Zac Efron & Amanda Seyfried Will Voice Characters in Upcoming 'Scooby-Doo' Film!

Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried are joining the Scooby-Doo universe!

The 31-year-old actor and the 33-year-old actress will be voicing the roles of Fred and Daphne respectively in the upcoming animated Scooby-Doo film Scoob, Deadline reported on Friday (March 22).

It’s the first time since the 2004 live-action film, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, that the Scooby-Doo brand is getting the big screen treatment.

In the new Scooby-Doo movie, the Mystery Inc. gang team up with other characters in the the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from the evil Dick Dastardly.

Will Forte will play Shaggy, Gina Rodriguez plays Velma, Tracy Morgan is Captain Caveman and while Frank Welker will reprise the voice of Scoob, having already been the voiceover for the character in the 1969-70 series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You.

The movie is set to open in theaters in May of 2020.

Amanda Seyfried leads gal pal Nina Dobrev out of the gym after a workout in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon (June 14).

After the workout, the Chloe costars headed back to Amanda‘s place where Nina fell even more in love with Finn, Amanda‘s dog.
