'Scooby-Doo' Live Action Movie Writer Reveals Plans For Scrapped Third Movie

Back in the early 2000s, Scooby-Doo made the jump to the big screen.

The live action film starred Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar and even scored a sequel in 2004.

Plans for a third movie were eventually scrapped, but now writer James Gunn is revealing what would have happened in the next flick.

“The Mystery Ink gang are hired by a town in Scotland who complain they’re being plagued by monsters but we discover throughout the film the monsters are actually the victims & Scooby & Shaggy have to come to terms with their own prejudices & narrow belief systems. (Yes, Really!),” James wrote on his Twitter.

While that movie didn’t get made, Scooby-Doo launched several other spin-offs, including upcoming animated film Scoob!.
