Scooby-Doo Origin Story 'Scoob!' Gets Final Trailer

There’s a brand new trailer for the upcoming Scoob!

The new movie is the latest in the Scooby-Doo universe, and gives a little backstory on the gang.

Scoob! reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc.

Now, with hundreds of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world.

As they race to stop this global “dogpocalypse,” the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.

Scoob!, which hits theaters on May 15th, stars the voices of Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo, Will Forte as Shaggy, Zac Efron as Fred, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, Kiersey Clemons as Dee Dee, Jason Isaacs as Dick Dastardly, Ken Jeong as Dynomutt, Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman, and Mark Wahlberg as Blue Falcon. It also features the voices of Ariana Greenblatt as Young Velma, Iain Armitage as Young Shaggy, Pierce Gagnon as Young Fred, and McKenna Grace as Young Daphne.

Scoob has found two of his best friends!

It was just announced that Stuck in the Middle actress Ariana Greenblatt has been cast the voice of young Velma in the upcoming animated movie. Gina Rodriguez will voice the adult version of Velma, The Wrap reports.

Additionally, Pierce Gagnon has been cast as the young voice of Fred. Zac Efron is set to star as the adult Fred.

Here’s a synopsis: The Mystery Inc. group will team up with other members of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly.

Other notables in the cast include Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, Will Forte as Shaggy, and Tracey Morgan as Captain Caveman.

Scoob is set to hit theaters in May of 2020.

Joey King: 'Wish I Was Here' Sundance Portraits

The 14-year-old actress joined co-stars Zach Braff, Kate Hudson, Pierce Gagnon, and Ashley Greene for the session.

“What an incredible weekend it’s been at #Sundance2014 for @WIWHFilm Met some great new friends & so honored 2 be part of this film,” the actress tweeted about the festival.

Earlier that day, Joey stopped by the Sundance Style Lounge to pick up some goodies, including DJI Phantom 2 aerial drone camera. Sounds cool!

Joey King: Pink Wig for 'Wish I Was Here'

Joey King sports a bright pink wig on the set of Wish I Was Here on Thursday afternoon (August 15) in Los Angeles.

The 14-year-old actress was joined for the scene by her on-screen dad, Zach Braff, as well as Pierce Gagnon.
