'Supergirl' Debuts Final Season Trailer 1 Week Before Season Premiere

Supergirl is flying onto our TV screens ONE WEEK from today, on Tuesday (March 30)!

The hit CW series will premiere it’s final season on a new night and time.

In the premiere episode, “Rebirth,” as Brainiac (Jesse Rath) lays close to death after trying to stop Lex (Jon Cryer), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team soar in to save him, engaging in an epic battle with Gamenmae (guest star Cara Buono).

After beating Leviathan, Supergirl turns her attention to Lex who has used the Obsidian platform to brainwash half the world to love him and follow him at all costs, no matter what horrible things he does. Knowing how dangerous this makes her brother, Lena (Katie McGrath) enlists the entire team – Alex (Chyler Leigh), J’onn (David Harewood), Dreamer (Nicole Maines), Kelly (Azie Tesfai) and Brainiac – to help, but Supergirl realizes that the only way to truly stop Lex is to sacrifice herself.

The first part of Supergirl‘s sixth and final season will take the place of Superman & Lois as it goes on hiatus until May 18th. At that time, Supergirl will then go on a break and air the rest of the season later this summer. Find out more here!

Candice Patton & China McClain Glitter In Gold at EW's Comic-Con Party 2019

Candice Patton and China McClain wear gold to the Entertainment Weekly Party held during 2019 Comic-Con on Saturday (July 20) in San Diego, Calif.

The 31-year-old The Flash actress was joined by her co-star Danielle Panabaker, who also wore a sparkly dress.

Also in attendance were fellow DC Universe stars, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s Caity Lotz with boyfriend Dylan Lewis, Brandon Routh, and Courtney Ford, Arrow‘s Juliana Harkavy and Rick Gonzalez, Supergirl‘s Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood, Nicole Maines, Andrea Brooks, and Jon Cryer, as well as Black Lightning‘s Nafessa Williams, Christine Adams, and Krondon.

Supergirl's Melissa Benoist Reveals First Look at New Supersuit at Comic-Con!

Melissa Benoist rocks a brand-new haircut at 2019 Comic-Con!

The Supergirl actress took the stage at the Supergirl Special Video Presentation and Q&A at San Diego Convention Center on Saturday (July 20) in San Diego.

She was joined by her co-stars Jesse Rath, Nicole Maines, Mehcad Brooks, Azie Tesfai, Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, Katie McGrath, Andrea Brooks, and Jon Cryer.

The cast shared an adorable group hug around Mehcad, who will be leaving the CW series in season five.

At the event, Melissa revealed the official first look at Supergirl’s new Kryptonian supersuit. See it in our gallery!

In addition, the show’s producers announced that two new characters will be joining the action in National City for the upcoming season: DC’s Andrea Rojas (aka Acrata), played by Veronica MarsJulie Gonzalo, and renowned reporter William Dey, played by Game of ThronesStaz Nair.

Season five of Supergirl premieres on October 6.

Jon Cryer Appears as Lex Luthor in 'Supergirl' Promo - Watch Here!

Lex Luthor has finally arrived on Supergirl!

Jon Cryer – best known for his role on Two and a Half Men – will be making his debut as Superman’s arch nemesis on Sunday, March 15′s episode titled “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”

“I want to see if the the Kryptonian pretender can bleed,” Lex says in the promo before yelling, “I was the Man of Tomorrow! Not! Him!”

In Lex’s first episode, he is released from prison – where he’s serving multiple life sentences for murder – because of his failing health and needs sister Lena’s (Katie McGrath) help to find a cure.

Supergirl airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
