(WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! DO NOT CONTINUE READING IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!)

Klaus runs into Cami and Mikael in this deleted scene from the series finale of The Originals!

The finale episode premiered last month, showing fans Klaus Mikaelson’s (Joseph Morgan) fate.

Klaus appeared to have got his redemption by saving his daughter from the Hollow’s magic, taking the magic inside himself. While Klaus had to die, however, he didn’t go by himself. His brother Elijah allowed him to properly say his farewells. In the end, the two ended each other’s lives in order to protect their family and town.

There’s more, though – check out a deleted scene, obtained by EW, from the end of the series below, featuring more of Cami (Leah Pipes) and Mikael’s (Sebastian Roche) return. If you remember, the Hollow’s magic led Klaus to hallucinate both of them.

The Originals‘ final season will be available on DVD on October 2.

'Originals' Showrunner Shares Why Klaus & Caroline Didn't Get Their Happy Ever After

As much as we would’ve liked to seen Klaus and Caroline run off into the sunset together, we were never going to get that.

However, The Originals did give us a glimpse at Klaus’ final day and moments with Caroline in a sweet deleted scene – one where he gives her a tour of his favorite city and they enjoy the festivals around New Orleans together.

“As we got into the final season where he ultimately was struggling with a teenage daughter who was falling for all the wrong kind of men in the same way that Caroline Forbes used to, there was a great link there,” Julie Plec shared with TV Guide about her favorite relationship on the series. “She became a great support system for him. I think that Caroline and Klaus did get their closure.”

However, she admits that “they were never going to dance off into the sunset together because she married Stefan Salvatore and she’s going to hold that in her heart forever, and Klaus, as much as she ever cared about him wasn’t Stefan.”

“So people can be upset about that, but I think them being able to find a purity in their own attraction and admiration for each other after everything they’ve been through before he went off to pull the ultimate move of fatherhood and sacrifice, and for her to be a witness to that, I think was really special for them.”

Why Did [Spoiler] & [Spoiler] Have To Die on 'The Originals'?

Why Did [Spoiler] & [Spoiler] Have To Die on 'The Originals'?

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!

Last night was the end of an era on The Originals and we bid goodbye to the Mikaelson family – and for some of them, permanently.

In the final episode, Elijah managed to take some of the dark magic from Klaus, which gave his brother one more day to spend with the people he loved – Caroline, Hope, and his family.

Klaus actually got to show Caroline his favorite city, before spending his final moments with his daughter, Hope and family with a dinner.

After their final dinner together, Klaus and Elijah met death together, and put an end to the dark magic of the city.

“When we started the series we knew that what we wanted to achieve by the end was a full completion to Klaus and Elijah’s journey,” Julie Plec shared with TV Guide after the series finale.

“Elijah was determined to help Klaus find his redemption and help him understand the power of unconditional love, and so we knew that along the way Elijah would take a dark turn as Klaus took a lighter turn and that the two of them would find themselves at the end, having completed that journey,” she continued.

“We weren’t sure how we would dramatize it at the end, but the choice to have them both decide to end life together was a decision that we made at the beginning of the final season.”

'The Originals' Cast Gives Heartfelt Thank You to Fans Ahead of Final Episodes (Video)

Can you believe there’s only one episode of The Originals left before the series finale?!

When TV Guide asked the cast what they’ll miss most about their CW show, they all brought up their fans.

“This show wouldn’t have existed without you guys,” Joseph Morgan said. “You watched Vampire Diaries and you started putting all of these trailers online, making all these trailers for The Originals. I mean, you guys even named it… You took a couple of villains from that show and you decided you wanted a show about them, and I’m just so grateful we got to go on that journey with you, so thank you so much for that experience.”

“We really worked hard to tell great stories for you,” showrunner Julie Plec added, “And your passion and your enthusiasm and your total rage at me for saying the show was over means that it meant a lot to you, and I appreciate that.”

“Your love and your support and your kindness does not go unnoticed,” Claire Holt shared. “We talk about it all the time, and I’ll remember it for the rest of my life.”

The Originals airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW.

Danielle Rose Russell Talks How Hope & Klaus' Relationship Will Change For Final Episodes of 'The Originals'

So, we don’t have a new episode of The Originals tonight, which is unfortunate. But, we do have a little more detail about what’s ahead in the final episodes – especially concerning Hope and Klaus.

Danielle Rose Russell opened up in a new interview about how Hope’s life and relationship with Klaus is going to change for the remainder of the season.

“I think that’s something that the fans are going to enjoy a lot, this relationship,” she shared with TV Guide. “She gets to explore with her dad now without limits anymore.”

Danielle continues, “They’re kind of getting to know each other still. They haven’t been in each other’s lives very often and Hope really needs her dad. So, they’re kind of getting to know that dynamic and know each other, but it’s really sweet, the dynamic between Hope and Klaus.”

“It ends up being very family-oriented, the show, kind of towards the last… four episodes that we have left,” she notes. “The dynamic between Hope and Klaus being explored in these next couple episodes I think will really bring a lot of warmth to peoples’ hearts.”

The Originals returns next Wednesday on The CW.

You might be a huge Klaroline shipper and love Haylijah to pieces, but you still have to stop and admit that Klaus’ relationship with Hayley on The Originals had turned into one of the sweetest on television.

During the series last night, after fighting with Hope, Klaus headed to the bayou to carve Hayley’s name into THE tree and while there, gave us all the feels to the point of us crying our eyes out over it.

Klaus admits that while he should’ve been there for her and Hope, he was scared “of this very moment.”

He also confesses his own hopes for Hope, he wants her to live and grow to be “as strong and as beautiful a woman as her mother.”

“I don’t know what to do, and I really wish that you were here to tell me…little wolf.”

Joseph Morgan Opens Up About Hayley's Death on 'The Originals': 'It Made Him Rather Angry'

Hayley’s death on The Originals hit everyone pretty hard, but it’s especially upsetting for Klaus.

Speaking with TV Guide, Joseph Morgan opened up about what’s it’s like to lose her and becoming a single parent now that she’s gone.

“You know, he’d rather grown to like her,” Joseph shared. “I think they, in the beginning, were certainly at odds. They were two people who shared a night together and had a child because of it and would not be in each others’ lives if it weren’t for that child.”

He continues, “They’ve learned to live together to the point where they have become a family — a sort of dysfunctional, strange family, but a family nonetheless, and so losing her was definitely a blow. I think that it’s losing a family member. So yeah, it was very upsetting and made him rather angry, I think.”

As for the future on the series and becoming a single parent to Hope, it’s going to be difficult for him.

“He really feels the weight and responsibility of being the only parent,” Joseph adds. “That’s tremendously difficult for him to deal with. I feel like Hayley’s always been a much better parent than him, and she spent the time — she’s spent the last seven years, while he’s been away, with Hope.”

“For him to come back after such a long absence and then to be thrown into this situation where, ‘Hey it’s just you now with your daughter,’ it’s a very steep learning curve for him. So that’s tremendously upsetting.”

The Originals airs Wednesdays on The CW.
