The 'Mean Girls' Musical Has a Premiere Date! (No, it's not October 3)

Over a decade has passed since Mean Girls first came to theaters, but Tina Fey‘s comedy masterpiece has lived on with the resilience of, well, Regina George herself. “Fetch” is definitely still happening, the Jingle Bell Rock dance is widely considered iconic, and October 3 — referring to a passing line in which Cady asks her crush what day it is — should be a national holiday.

Which is we had absolutely zero chill when we found out about the Mean Girls musical Tina Fey and the Legally Blonde lyricist are currently working on — which finally has a premiere date!

Are you ready? Do you have your pencils out? Okay, it’s October 31 at the National Theater in Washington D.C. That’s right, Halloween, so break out your animal ears (or zombie bride attire) and get ready.

Selena Gomez will be ready! The 24-year-old singer has joked that she wishes she could be in the musical. Guess what character she’d love to play?!

More info to come as we get it! It’s gonna be totally grool.
